if it's blank on the birth mothers name, what does this mean?

Flick

Where is it 'blank'?

Please say where you are looking - don't just post an unexplained question..............

Do you mean that the maiden name isn't on the index?

That info was not added to the index until after 1911.........

Unless a child was a foundling, the mother's name will always be on the birth cert - the same cannot be said for the father

No point in giving us links to records on Genes as most of the people who help do not use them

as flick has said mothers names were not on the index before 1911

Flick

Flick Report 18 Jul 2011 16:45

There is no such thing as a 'blank' for mother's name on records .............please read the info I gave you

Denise

If you want help please stick to the original thread rather than start another about someone in the same family

If you add to any thread it will go to the top.

So to save people duplicating things that has already been found it is requested that you stick to one thread about the same family
