The only one I got fed up with was OUT OF TIME. Although the premise of travelling back in time was a good one, there was more emphasis on will they/won’t they resist the urge to give in to their mutual attraction than there was on describing life in 1920 NYC in the months leading up to the Wall Street Crash. I’m don’t like ‘romance’ novels which this seemed to be.

The other books could be classified as Adventure/Mystery/Thriller novels. Yes – Sci Fi does play a part in a couple of them, but only to place the action in the next 10 years or so.

Just finished Predator (hmmm sort of apt that) by Patricia Cornwall. Not my usual reading but I quite enjoyed it. :-)

Having cast aside several kindle books I have started, I have taken the recommendation on this thread and begun Just One Damned Thing after Another. So far am thoroughly enjoying it. Anyone read Deborah Moggach's 'Heartbreak Hotel'? Was toying with downloading it.

Just finished A moment like forever by Martina Reilly. Andrea & Lexi thought they would be friends for ever until they were involved in a bad accident. Andrea was left scarred & Lexi was nowhere to be found.

I loved this book which towards the end has a really surprising twist. A really good read.

Now that sounds like my type of book Ann.....Ive just looked it up thank you :-)

Currently reading "The Art Of Racing In The Rain" by Garth Stein.

The story is told by Enzo, the family dog who has come to the end of his days and recounts his life story.

I will forever wonder about dogs after this.
Do they know more than we give them credit for?

Echoes of Marley and Me, except it's told from dog's perspective.

Absolutely loving this book and a must for all those who love their dogs <3

Just finished The Twelfth Card by Jeffery Deaver,Geneva Settle 16 is under threat of death, reason not known. Lincoln Rhyme a quadriplegic criminalist and Amelia Sachs his partner are on the case. A very good book with many twists and turns and a lot of background American history.

Libby Day was just 7 years old when her evidence put her 15 year old Brother behind bars. Great read.
I read the other Gillian Flynn a few weeks ago ....Gone Girl.......Brilliant.

Ooohh Jane, have read those two books and another one she wrote 'Sharp Objects'..I really enjoy her writing.

Nearly finished One Damn Thing After Another and am thoroughly enjoying it...wish she had written more books but I think this is her first?
