Did either of you have a camera with you?

Hi Ann, yes Carole had her camera.
My lovely digital camera was given a bath in the fish tank/aquarium by my delightful grandson and for some reason just won't work any longer. Frustrating, I'd won it, was so thrilled to have such a good one.
However Carole did get some photos, looking forward to seeing them . . .

Hi Dutch, never mind, no worries, I appreciate the kind thought and the symbolic toast on the card.
Hope you are doing OK.

nudging for Izzy who thinks she is having panic attacks and needs some answers and advice!!

Grabagran Report 7 Nov 2008 02:00

Izzy. I have suffered from panic attacks for so many years. My problem is I worry too much, and then when I don't have anything to worry about, I worry about that.

Seriously, they come on for no apparent reason. I an get them just reading a book in bed, and I don't violent or too romantic books, but just ones about life when the families worked in t cotton mills, so they don't cause them.

My oncologist told me to count my pulse rate when I was having one, and right it down and keep a diary.

Because I was on treatment and having them, they affected my heart scans, and the treatment had to stop. You can feel sickly and light headed, but just take deep breaths, and you will get over them.

Good luck and discuss this with your gp.

xx

Izzy Report 7 Nov 2008 10:24

Thanks for the reply, am seeing my gp today.
I have huge stress in my life right now as well as my asthma causing problems, the treatment i have for that can give increased heart reate and high blood pressure so it's a bit hard to regulate my pulse rate, still have a really good asthma nurse and gp so will for once be honest with them today about how i really am coping(or not).
Thankyou to everyone that has messaged me to know there are people who listen is lovely.

Dear Izzy, welcome to this wonderful thread.
The first step in dealing with anxiety, depression or panic attacks is to be able to verbalise that there is a problem. So deciding to talk to your GP is a huge step and I hope your GP will be very helpful to you.
Come on here any time if you need to unload.
Hugs

Hi

I have had a busy day at work.

I have alleviated the thoughts and occasional negative comments about other people niggling away at my family tree and saying that it is not conclusive. I know what is conclusive and they say that OCD sufferers have a high IQ. That success story I posted is 100% accurate down to a T and 99% of people say that is is more than plausible.

Some people are just jealous of others family tree successes. The length of his first wifes illness clinched it all about him having an affair with my 3xgreat grandmother and my 2xgreat grandmother being the result.

Have got medication from my gp today citalopram, which i think is to help me feel a bit calmer, and temazepam to help me get some sleep.
have just taken first dose of both not sure how quick temaz takes to work, will hope to finish this reply before it kicks in though!
have told a couple of people how i have been feeling today, and am trying to accept that asking for help is not something to be ashamed of.
Have been on this site for over a year now and just starting to find how really lovely and caring so many people are, not judgemental or accusing just understanding and supportive. I hope that one day i may be brave enough to attend a meeting to thank those people personally.
For now a cyber hug will have to do((((00))))

Izzy Give your medication time to in, as it will take a few weeks to do so.

WHY should you feel ashamed, after all you've done nothing wong.

The people who need to be ashamed are those who have never experienced it and think it will never happen o them

Well whoopydoo for them.

Stick in their kid and very gentle hugs flying their way to you, and all those feeing the need of one, albeit cyber ((((((hugs))))))))))

Welcome Izzy,

There are so many kind folk on this thread, they don't judge, only want to try help.

Very sunny here at the moment, shame to have to sit in hot trains and tram a bit later.

Hope you all have a good weekend, maybe the weather will be mild, always a bonus.

Am dreading those stairs at daughter's house....

Still, it is for grandson Zachaar, so I must make an effort.

65 tomorrow, I will be officially an o.a.p!

Sorry I haven't been around lately been too difficult for me to post anywhere. I am still at work, they are so supportive and understand. Dr wants to see me again this week, I am trying so hard to cope and went to my group so that helped.
Elaine it certainly sounds like they need to regulate it, my brother had one fitted years ago and felt so much better after, so do hope all goes ok.
Izzy hope you get a job you want.
Hello all newcomers and thoughts for all
