Morning Vicky and Gillie, Gillie I though I'd frightened you off by sending my photo, glad to hear you've had a few days off.
Vicky I am pm'ing you later but I was'nt surprised about you being in so much pain if you have Rheumatoid Arthritis, poor you, at least you can pain relief now for it.
I went to see my Neurologist yesterday only to be told they still don't know what is wrong with me, and I am not being sent for any more tests as I have everyone available. A wasted journey.
I haven't been on for a few days as I had a good chat with Chris and she told me exactly what it means by having the cancer in my bones, to say it scared me is an understatement. It's got me so I daren't walk much (not that I can) or put pressure on my bones in case they break. I wished I'd never asked.

Gail I don't care what your writing is like, I can't write now and have to print, even that is not much good but readable.

Hope everyone is keeping well and warm, as well as can be expected that is.

Hi Caz, of course you didn't scare me with your photo, I thought I might have with mine I sent you, I have mailed you back with a pic of my rabble.

I hope you get on ok knowing the outcome of having cancer in your bones, just take it easy.

Vods, my mum has just been diagnosed with rheumatoid and my mil has it quite bad, as well as ostoe and FM.
I hope you get some relief soon, both my mum and mil take steroids for pain as well as painkillers, plus other meds, like methotrexate and salazopyrine.

The doc said I could also have SLE which translated is systemic lupus ??????? which is caused by the immune system reacting against medication. Knew I had reactions to many drugs, but have to wait and see when I go to the hozzie lol

Vods, my dad had Shograns syndrome, which is related to lupus, I had a boss with lupus, he has had it for 20 years now and is still going strong, especially once his meds were sorted.

Gillie, congrats.on your hubby's birthday, good luck at the doc's.I see that your mum &mil take Methotrexate as well as steroids.My eldest takes these meds as well as Anti TNF, which actually makes her even more vunerable than she is with her autoimmune disease.
Vicky, sorry to hear about you not sleeping because of the pain.Have heard of Lupus not SLE though.
Caz.you must be desperate as well as scared by the explanation Chris gave you.God love you, you have so much pain and worry as it is.It must seem too much to bear sometimes.Take care.
Gail, do you wear your hair up or loose? I had my daughter chop about 25 cms. off my hair a couple of weeks ago.It was way down my back.It grows very fast,It took two and a half year's time to grow from chin-length to past where my waist USED to be.Nails? they are not strong, keep cracking at the edges, so look awful.Don't understand why hair can be strong and nails weak.
We have an app. with the dentist at 17.35 today.My daughter, her two children & hubby & myself all go together, must look like the Mafia!
Ann, it is a lovely 'suprise', and I should be looking forward to this weekend-I am, but, am put off, thinking about the 3 flights of 17 steps to their living area, then another flight to the sleeping area.It is really too much nowadays, last time I thought I was going to pass out.Didn't say so, don't want to frighten anyone.The poor old heart finds it too much of a strain.
Must hang the washing out, take advantage of the SUN!.

Eileen, OH usually puts it in one plate, with a great deal of trouble I can manage to do it as well but takes me about an hour. It is more manageable in a plate. I used to wear it up when working, usually a bun. My hair is very fine, so does not go well left out. OH wont let me get it cut, but usually have about 4 inches off every couple of years.

I know what you mean about steps, I make sure before I go any where there are no stairs, as cannot get up them.

Gail, you just had me giggling, apologies but was trying to figure out what a plate was, realising now it's a pigtail or plait! Was picturing your hair on a plate and thinking What the?

Eileen, do take care, I do wish you would let your family know things are difficult, would be so bad for them to see you collapse cos they hadn't known the struggle you have with the stairs. Take it very slowly and try to bring everything down that you need so you only have to do the sleeping flight at night and in the morning, or is coming down any easier? I do worry about you but hope you can enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hair on a plate Gail? As long as you don't forget and try eating it.
My hair is fine too, grows at an alarming rate.I couldn't manage to put it up, so had it tied back all the time.It looked awful.Hence the chunk taken off.It is as straight as a dye, looked more like a dead cat after I washed it the first time after cutting it, and put too much mousse in.

I have aritmie (don't know the English spelling for this)-irregular heart beat, which became so bad that the cardiologist had to give another med.in may, called Met.Sandoz on top of the 200mg of Tambocur.It mostly helps,but any exertion makes the old ticker race and miss some beats, so those stairs are going to be quite bad......
I wouldn't miss seeing grandson Zachaar singing at the concert,bless him.Going home in the dark on trains & trams is not very pleasant, so I have no option but to stay over.

Oh Liz, I too am giggling like mad. Didn't even realise that Gail meant a plait....
You are right about telling about the little problem.They do know, but not how bad it has become this last year.Will be staying at Fiona's (the one who drove her car into a ditch) place.She notices how breathless and exhausted I become when climbing all those stairs, I just don't want to panic her even further, but know that the time will come soon when I can't visit her there anymore.Scary and saddening!

Eileen, I know seeing Zachar will be very special for you. At least Fiona knows then that it's a struggle for you, any chance she can rope in some handsome young men to give you a fireman's lift up the stairs lol? Take it slow love, and hope you don't have to stop the visits yet.

Liz, as IF. Fiona is about 1.68, her husband Oleg is a wee bit taller than me,so is roughly 1.60.Don't think he could carry my 70 kilos up those stairs.lol.
Joyce sent me a lovely birthday card, very kind of her.May I share what the two cards that Andrea (eldest) and Fiona sent? One says "feeling old? Well we're all in the same boat and it's still leaking".
The other, "Birthday panic, every day your brain cells are dying, you are slowly turning into an idiot, you must have fun NOW!! There is not a moment to lose! Get drunk, go mad, party, party, party!!!! I have been in hysterics, they really have made my day.
They both know that I like this type of humour.

Still sunny here, it was supposed to be cloudy and rainy.

Must psych myself up for the dentist's visit.

What a lovely beautiful lady she is. We met at a cafe and went to the Falls, where we went under them. All dressed in our yellow rain macs. I had a fantastic time and hope Mary did too.

I had trouble getting on here today. So have hogged the computer a long time so will read it all later.

Nice to see that despite the pains etc there is still good banter on here .

As Liz said earlier I had good news at the hospital it was not the big C which I was very worried about.Went to do some research at the history society which is just along the road from Gala Bingo .As I passed I read that it was a free afternoon so I grabbed the bull by the horns and went in .( not been there in over 5 years as last time I took a panic attack ) Well I survived and won £55 into the bargain !!!!
Did feel a bit guilty being at the bingo in the afternoon when I had promised to look things up for some one
On a roll and in the money treated son and myself to a chinese and stuffed myself also had some wine which I havent had for ages so yesterday I felt like the pits pains in tummy etc !!!! that will teach me for being a greedy pig

I also got a surprise pressie from son a belated mother's day present for 2 years ago when he forgot . He bought me an online game called bejewelled and then proceded to take over my computer for the next 12 hours !! He was on again this morning at 7 am some present !!!

Caz and Vods sorry to hear you still have pain .Caz try not to worry about the bones.My bros in law is autistic and was going into hospital last year for his 2nd hip replacement .I asked if was in pain and he said A lady at the bottom of the street has only one leg and a man at the bottom of the hill has no legs at all so I have nothing to grumble about !!! He is a dear and I wish I could be more like him.

This isn't really funny but I had to smile .He has been a guide to blind people for years but only one man will still go out with him now .Reason being Ian is so slow walking that the traffic lights have turned to green while he is still half way across!!!!Most are too worried that they will get run over and he doesn't understand their concern .

Morning all, well, yes Carole, I also had a fantastic time too, though MUCH too short unfortunately.
Amazing being on an open observation deck below the side of Niagara Falls, feeling the spray off the falls, the loud roar/vibration of the water, yet so peaceful, then turn around to see a huge brilliant rainbow almost close enough to touch. Awe-inspiring. Then all of us in our yellow plastic poncho macs, looking like alien ducks, too funny, I couldn't find where to put my head in the poncho, kept trying to fit it into the armhole. While down on the open observation deck, realised that I wasn't the only dummy, there were several other people with their mac hoods halfway down their backs.LOL.
Carole is a sweetheart, we started talking as if we'd not needed an introduction!! She's lovely, much younger than parts of me, LOL. Her OH and cousins also very, very nice.
I think we had a lovely (short) time, and I am so glad we both made the effort.
I had to leave quickly because I had to go to work for the evening shift. Arrived home, where I had someone doing some fix-it work for me, to find that the cat had got out again. My daughter Megan's cat to whom she is devoted. The cat who was in heat - damn it. Meg doesn't have great coping skills and was devastated when she came home.
Went to work, hoping the cat would show up, very busy evening, only sat down for about 1/2 hour all evening, then started towards home at 11:15pm, only to be hit with dense fog, as most of my trip home is on top of the Niagara escarpment, mostly farming country so the fog can be dreadful. Arrived home safely. Went to bed tired. Awakened several times by Meg's sobbing and pacing.
5 am I'm woken again "Mum,Mum, I can hear her bell". Sure enough the cat had found her way into the basement. Crisis is over. Thank goodness. Strangely, or perhaps not so strangely, the cat is VERY mellow this morning, no more howling, do you suppose . . . all I don't need is a litter of kittens LOL.
Out now to do some more flower bed cleanup, missed the pickup this morning so there will be a lot next week.
More fog this morning, but the sun is now starting to shine through.
Have a good day all, yesterday was a wonderful busy day for me but I felt quite exhilarated at the end. Wonderful to meet you Carole, hope it won't be the last time.

Bingo eh! I don't really play bingo but have mystery shopped a few bigo clubs. On one most embarrasing occasion I shopped a Mecca and won the £500 jackpot. I did slip an old lady a fiver as I was going out,made me feel less guilty.

Seriously,I think the bingo clubs are doing a marvelous job. It seems like some old people go there to keep warm and have company and they do provide cheap,or even free meals. I have a lot of time for them, hey are,very discreetly,providing a very important social service.All power to them.

just quick word Betty just pm said shes ok out shopping at the moment,she just pop in the internet cafe,she to say hello to everyone and to say she got her parcel at last
