Liz, just to say, be grateful you have bin men today. It is not our collection day but no sign of them in the half of the village that should have them so they must be taking part in the strike.

Well I ended up sleeping off and on till 6pm!

Got up and made dinner and didn't do much else all evening, luckily o.h. went to bed early so was peaceful by 10pm!

Ann, I think a lot of our rubbish collections etc are done by sub contractors so we weren't affected by the strikes.

Love and hugs to all,
Lizxxx

((((hugs)))) elaine, hope OH improves soon, even if it is gradually.

Kathy, as you say 'yuk'! Did you know your son had not taken his exams? Have you discussed it with him and asked him why he is throwing his life away? Such a shame but you need to find out the reason.

Hello all my lovelies. Have not been on much YET as still very tired.

Daughter and OH and new bub went home yesterday. They are settling in okay, and daughter is feeling and healing well.

It was so hard to leave them, and will not get to see them again for sure until November. But lots of photos and video will help no end.

Thank you for all your best wishes, it means a lot to me.

Bye for now and lots of hugs to everyone.

to everyone.... I am not very good today so I'm off to sit down and read.
I had to stay off yesterday as I felt so bad, but today I felt 'good'.
I cleaned the bathroom, and planned on hoovering the bedroom and polishing it... but I have found that my back is killing me now.
I FORGOT TO TAKE ANY TABLETS THIS MORNING!!
Well you know what happens then, don't you? Th pain just grows....

To all who are having problems, I will be thinking of you... as I always do.
You all have your place in my thoughts each day.
Kathy..... don't kill him. Ask him why.... he may just have felt so afraid.... our kids have so much stress in their lives.
He can take them later anyway.

love to all,

Hi again

Thanks for your words. No I won't kill him
YET.
He had an op last summer and had to have the wound packed and dressed daily so he was 5 weeks late returning to uni .Problem was he failed to tell any one why he was late back .Since he had missed lab work they wouldn't let him sit his exams at end of term one .

Turns out that by the time he did speak to head of department and furnish the medical proof it was too late so he didn't get to sit any .

I am mad at him for lying to me .I have tried speaking to him but he is not forthcoming at the best of times .

He is talking now of resitting the whole year which isn't a problem to me but we get paid a child pension from his dad's work while he is in full time education and they might want the money back for this last year .

Enough of my woes .

Hope you are all having a better day with less pain .

love

Kathy, can't think why they would take the money back, he did attend college didn't he? Just was off sick and was not able to take his exams. You may have to explain but it seems he was still (just about) in full time education.

Gill, Sorry you are having a bad time with not being on the meds, but stick it out it will probably take a while. And ignore any negative remarks, you said you would not let anyone stop you posting. Be strong. and you wont depress us, we are here to listen.

Deanna, Silly billy. so now you are suffering because you didn't take your tablets. still you got the bathroom done! Hope you feel better soon!

Elaine, do not feel guilty, you must have your rest as well. Could he be dehydrated do you think? That would make him feel dizzy and sick. Let's hope it is something simple and nothing to worry about. let us know wont you? but don't feel guilty.

Hi all, sorry you are having such worries, Elaine, I hope your hubby feels better soon, so you can relax a bit more, keep using the Rescue Remedy for yourself, if you got some. It doesn't matter how much you take.
Kathy, know how you must be feeling, and especially with all the drainage work going on. Will try and call you soon, take care, deep breaths and hope J. can get things sorted out in his head soon, so he finds the motivation to continue. Would he better taking a year out and getting a job or would that muck up the pension? If he was at home, he might eat properly and get himself healthy again and get a better routine, (says she who sleeps all day and is up all night!) Will be thinking about you.
In fact thinking about all of you trying to cope with all the things life chucks at you.
love and hugs

Betty, so sorry I have missed you and really sorry you lost your purse, do you think you could have dropped it? Might be worth asking the bus company or the Police? You must have felt sick when you realised it was gone, I have done that before, had mine stolen in Malta once when I shoved my basket behind me on the seat so son the 6, could sit on my lap, bus was crowded. Luckily I realised when I was at my friend's house, I went to get the fare out ready and realised it was gone, so she gave me a spare purse she had and some money to get back to the apartment and then I had to go to the police and make a claim for the insurance. It was lucky I only had a small amount in the purse.
Good luck for the meeting today and hope it goes well. Will be thinking about you - come and let us know. Oh and glad you seem to be back on line, or are you at work now?
I just read a nice book, called The Butterfly Box by Santa Miorfioni or something like that. I get most of my books from the charity shops etc but have just started the one Ros sent on to me, bless her. Un daunted by John Gaunt, an autobiography.

I think o.h. might give me some money towards new specs - will go to a frames direct type place - we have two or three locally so might not have to pay so much, luckily I found my prescription form etc. I will also have a look in the city at the Specsavers and such as there are probably sales on now.

You take care, and hope you have a blessing somehow to make up for the money loss.
love and hugs

Hi everyone.

When we were away we used to walk to the beach every day, it was wonderful after living in the country.

On one trip to the beach, which has a childrens' playground, we came across a couple on the swings, they were in their 60's. Oh I wish I had my camera, they were having such a lovely time. The wife said she had forgotten how many muscles it takes to swing. And yes, we did sneak back and have a swing.

Also, the beach had some lovely rocks for climbing, I was just dying to scamper over. Had to wait for OH to arrive, I could not scamper, but did manage to climb over a few, with much laughter from everyone. I had such a lovely time, and gave me such a lift. Even today I cannot look at most large trees without wishing I could climb one.

Sometimes it takes so very little to make us happy.

Love and Hugs
