Sophie, you are obviously somebody she respects so it sounds as though she might accept a suggestion from you that she need to see the doctor. Lovely for her to have a friend like you.

Thank you Eileen for passing on my message to Carole.x

And Carole, I've sent you a 'full' one today.x

Elaine I am so happy for you that your lovely man is home. Just you spoil him all you like, and make sure he takes his tablets...... all of them... and make him eat. x

I am suffering today again... get a bit fed up don't you, with the 'up and down' of my illness?

Allan has a new appointment with the surgeon for Monday... it was brought forward, but we were not told why.
It is with a surgeon, but we were not told why!!
I know it is their 'day job', but we are just ordinary people with ordinary fears, I wish they would realize that sometimes.
Still, as many complaints as we may have... we have a wonderful medical service in the NHS.

I'm off now and will answer my mail, and go back and sit down before my tablets wear off and my head actually explodes.

I have not taken any time to care for any of your problems... did you notice? ;-0(
I'm sorry but I am not completely with it just now.
Look after yourselves and all those you love and I will see you tomorrow, I hope.
Lots of love to all,
Deanna XXX

Deb68 hello to you. Have you been on Diazepam long? Do you take as and when, or every day? I was on it last August and I was like a zombie! Sorry to hear you lost your mum xx

Liz what time of day do you call that!!! lol xx

Deanna Just replied to you before I go get my shower
I know it's nearly 11! Lazy devil me xx

Betty I haven't heard from you for ages how are you and your family? xx

Christina I also think of you and Janet a lot.xx

Sophie your friend is so lucky to have you looking out for her and trying to get help. If she will not go to the doctors she might like to try a herbal remedy but that can be expensive. My friend did that but ended up on anti depressants.

Eileen hi xx

Anyone had any news from our Joyce?

Love to you all xx

Carole Report 5 Jul 2008 14:31

Snow white why do you think Sophie is winding us up?
Even if she were asking us in the pretence it is for a friend, and it is really for herself does that matter?
Having the internet means you can search, but on here you do get someone to reply to you.
I think she is genuine and asking for confirmation that her belief her friend is indeed depressed is real.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 5 Jul 2008 14:43

jeannie, that is not like you. Why would you think sophie is winding us up? It came over as a genuine request for help to me. Now, whether it is for herself or her friend is another matter, but it is not important. What is important is that we give advice when asked. If somebody takes us for a ride then so be it. But I can't see why you should be suspicious really.

Hope you are OK, not seen you on here much lately.

Deanna, so sorry you are feeling under the weather and I hope you will feel brighter soon. Hope all goes well for Alan on Monday.

Sophie will get a more varied and truer answer from any one of us who understands how it feels to be low, depressed, anxious or whatever label is put on the way a person feels, so has every right to be here and ask. If it should turn out to be a windup, well, none of us have done anything wrong so would have to let things pass!
Hope this suspicion doesn't stop others from posting, asking advice or giving it.
In a rush today, shouldn't even be on here lol, so must fly (wish I could lol)
The time of day is now 3.20pm.....for Carole lol
Love to all

Elaine, maybe a few drops of Rescue Remedy (don't all groan, here she goes again lol) for your hubby, might help him through this difficult time, and also ask the doctor if you can use arnica on his bruises, where there is no broken skin, it helps make bruises less painful, cos the arnica brings them out properly and then they go faster. You take a few drops of RR too, will help you I promise.

O.h. just called to say what time he is leaving off, I was about to go to my house to pick up mail but he reminded me it is the Lord Mayor's Procession tonight and it starts at the back of my street, so the roads will be blocked off for the floats and it will be busy getting to mine, will leave it now and go tomorrow or Monday.
I used to go the the Parade every year without fail, it used to be brilliant, over 100 floats, and my son was born on the day it was being held. Every year when he was small and we went along he thought it was for him for his birthday lol Lately tho there has been less interest and far fewer floats so haven't been, its a long time to stand too and walk around altho nice to see people each year and this year it is a week earlier than usual.
Glad it has been a fine dry day for them to prepare everything tho, and it looks as tho it might stay dry for the evening, usually a fair and fireworks later on.

Elaine, I expect it could be the after effects of the anaesthetic making your OH emotional. Even with my minor op and the relatively small amount of anaesthetic it was a couple of weeks before I 'brightened' up again. It takes a lot out of you. And also the shock to the system doesn't help. Is there anything he really fancies to eat?
