Hi Betty, thank you, I am feeling a little better about Allan. he went to town today to buy a new kettle. He burnt the other one. I would have cleaned it, but *Mr. Rockefeller* wanted to buy a new one! ;-0)
I just had a good letter typed on here ... when it disappeared and I got a bloomin GOOGLE PAGE! Lost the lot.
So, here I go again. Elaine, it is lovely seeing you running about shopping for your husband's bits and pieces for his hospital visit..... and please remember that darling..... A VISIT! He will be back completely 'fixed' and able, and you can both start the rest of your life together. We will all be praying and worrying and thinking of you both... so you are never going to be alone. X
Carole, which Ballet did you go to see? I love the Ballet. It is such a difficult thing for me to go. I have no problem getting lifts... it is some one to sit with which holds me back. If I see and Opera, or a Ballet, that I want to go to my son says.... "are you kidding?" And Allan says, "Okay... if you can't get anyone else to go, then I will come with you!".......... No way. I want to go with someone who will enjoy it.
I have been watching "I ROBOT"... alone, I might add. Not Allan's cup of tea. Son bought it for me, goodness knows how long ago. I enjoyed it.... Science FRICTION... ;-0) but very entertaining.
it looks awful out today, but it is indeed 'roasting'.
I hope you are all having a nice quiet weekend, and are managing all the pains, and disabilities we are all suffering. I don't have the ink to print out your story Ann, but I am still looking forward to reading it. We should always remember that we are the people of which history is made. Our stories are important.
Well it is too hot to sit in here, I'm roasting, so I'm off again. I wish there was a better place for my PC and the desk, but the bungalow is so small. I'm not complaining.
see you all soon. love, Deanna XXX
PS.... I am having trouble walking on my bad foot, the one with the *curly toes!' Do any of you have this, and if so, what do you do to try and help it? XX

Oh my goodness, what a hot day. I am in Ontario, about 20 minutes drive from Niagara Falls, and yesterday it was 96 degrees (33C) here4. A bit cooler by the Falls, especially if you're enveloped in the mist from the falls. I have A/C in my flat, so I'm cooking meat for the next 3 days so we'll have little to do in the way of cooking. All 7 of us slept in my flat last night, both Sarah and Gareth spiked a fever and Sarah was sick upstairs from the heat. their A/C unit should arrive by Wednesday, for now we share space. I'm drinking gallons of water it seems, and still feel dried out. Cannot go out to the garden in this heat so hopefully another day or two won't matter.
When is Liz back from her holiday? Been quiet at night the past week!!
I went to an estate sale today and bought an antique gorgeous Irish wall tapestry of a cottage in the hills, absolutely lovely, Colleen had admired it but the price was too high so i haggled down to 50% of original price. She'll be surprised one day when it appears on her wall!!!! Hugs to all. Mary

Hi all, I have just had a pm from poor Caz.
she said that she thinks of us all, but she is in such pain that all she wants to do is go lie down.
Poor soul, can neither sit, nor walk, nor stand... so bed is the best place for her isn't it? I have sent her as much news as I could remember.... Angel's Eddie's funeral, and Elaine's husband's operation. I will have a second look at the messages, and see what else I can tell her. Bit too 'dozy' this morning, normal I hear you all say???
I will be back later, to see who has had the time this lovely Sunday to leave a message.
love to all, Deanna XX

Hi everyone Just got back from my weekend away, with my mum It was fabulous. Went on a coach tour Friday we called at Windsor and had a boat trip on the Thames, saw Windsor castle it's huge. We went on to our hotel(a Marriots one) it was superb, everything about it was great. Saturday we went to Longleat safari park, what a brill place. Today we stopped off at Stratford upon Avon to see where Shakespeare was born, then we came home. The weather was perfect every day. I touched a snake at Longleat!! I'm just about coming back down to earth now-no bread/milk, nothing done in the house but I still love him Had a quick look at the messages to make sure everyone was still around. Will read them better tomorrow Love to all for now Janet

Hello everyone, Janet sound like a lovely but all too brief trip. Elaine, thinking of you, sending some anti-anxiety thoughts your way. Hot again here, Sarah is still sick from the heat so I've kept her in my flat today with the A/C, she didn't go to sleep till 1am, so we all had a short (but cool) night. the installer is making a spot for Wednesday to have A/C installed upstairs in Colleen's flat. They are coming tomorrow to do the pre-install inspection and plan. So today she's up in the attic, where it's sweltering, laying down some plywood on the rafters for better accessibility to the back of the attic for the workmen. It's money well spent if everyone feels better and can sleep. I must invest in a couple of blinds for my sunroom, where the window is letting in too much sun. The floors are cool as theya re ceramic, but the past 2 days sarah has broken 3 drinking glasses, apparently she likes the sound of glass breaking, and just drops the glass on the floor. 1/2 hour later the shards are finally cleaned up and her cut foot is no longer bleeding. Think I'm going to write a book one day, of course by the time I have time, my memory will likely be gone.
Going back now to 'Sarah patrol', perhaps we'll have a bath to use up some time. Can't keep my angel figurines in the bathroom any more, apparently she took 2 of them for a swim in the bath last night, and they've lost their wings (or perhaps it's freudian, as I seem to have lost mine too!!!!!).
talk to you all tomorrow, hugs Mary

Hi
I am in my hotel room in London Docklands at the minute. Am off to the Guildhall in a little while then to Holborn Library and then a quick visit to the LMA because the latter two record offices don't shut until 7pm tonight then tomorrow I am off to Brighton.
This makes my ocd dwindle a lot when I am keeping myself occupied.

Hi everyone, janet, glad you had a good trip with your Mum. Gill, hope your headache soon goes, is it the ehat do you think? Ben, good idea to keep busy.
Mary you are certainly working hard to keep Sarah occupied. Hope the AC solves a few problems. It was very hot here in bed last night, i had trouble sleeping so got up for a walk around. Carole, and Deanna, hi, I think people are out in their gardens. i certainly was yesterday.
Had an eye check yesterday as although i had my eyes checked two years ago I didn't need new glasses then. did yesterday though (£380!!!!) How can something so little and so light cost so much??
I wanted them tested because I am getting a sort of flashing across the top of my right eye when on the pc. He checked my eyes thoroughly and said they are perfectly healthy so he thinks it is a sort of 'floater' that streaks instead of floating!!! He said I will get used to it. That is what they say about tinitis. Hmmm!
YCaz, hope you are feeling better.

Hello All, I hope you don't mind me adding to this thread, I haven't added before. I know there are so many people on here that have been where I am at the moment....
I feel totally desperate after the betrayal and deception of my OH. I know I have to live through this and it will pan out in the end, meanwhile I have to live this total misery.
My health is suffering badly and I shake constantly and am unable to stand up for long, can't drive as I'm just not safe... all adding to my despair, I can't seem to move forward.
Is there anyone who can just advise me on coping? My day is spent in tears.
He is still living in our home on the understanding he doesn't see her whilst there. He is stil there as our home is not saleable at the moment, no bathroom or kitchen and has it to be completed for me to be able to afford to live in the future. This is causing me so much anxiety. Our home was everything we ever wanted and he has had months to acclimmatise himself to the fact he wasn't going to be there and it would be sold. My dreams and future shattered.

Two sad posts on a lovely afternoon.
Jeannie, i am so sorry for your MiL, Is she local? I will keep her in my thoughts bless her, such a shock at her age too.
Tina, what can I say, this is such a sad time for you that you need to grieve. Unfortunately to be able to grieve properly you need to have you OH out of the house asap. Is he doing the work himself? If so he is not deliberately dragging his feet is he? Once he has really gone out of your life and you have your own new home I am sure that things will come together. Seeing him all the time is just rubbing salt into the wound. are you both home all the time as well?
Only thing I can suggest is spend as much time away from the house as possible, even if you just go for a walk. Would it not be possible to cut your losses and sell the house as it stands and accept a reduced price? I don't think i could bear the sight of him if it was me, but I would be angry not so much sad.
Please come on here as often as you want to to let off steam, rant, cry whatever. we will always listen non judgementally.
((((hugs))))
