Deanna, putting me to shame then??? Polishing!!!!
bet you are exhausted now. not going to take iron if it makes you enjoy polishing!
I think in future we should just respond to the posts that we want to and not try to remember all the names (except carole and she is a goody goody!) The danger with putting all the names is that we miss somebody so i will stick to saying Hi everyone. There are so many people on here now. but I will say Hi Eleanor, you will get a lot of help on here.

Hi everyone Feel crummy today but it is a cold coming on I think, headache, sniffling. I decided to Spring clean my kitchen, didn't get too far before the arthritis in my hands kicked in, still a bit at a time should do it. There are a lot of you on Citalopram, I am taking duloxetine, 60mg. I can tell when I stop them-not good at all. Jennifer, hello, I think a few of us can relate to that feeling of being scared that we might do something again. I have been fighting it for 40 years and it is still there sometimes but I get to recognise the signs and know it will pass. I remember once clinging onto the side of my bed crying and praying for the feelings to stop, I didn't realise it then but I was lonely even though I had a husband and 2 children but everyone thought i was this strong being. Depression can be a hard task master but see it and fight it. Hi Eleanor, I was 16 when my depression started, at 57 I know why but I don't want to go into that now, enough to say if I had talked then it might have helped. When 30 year later things camr out I was more able to deal with it. At 23 you are still only young and it is a difficult world we live in, you have done really well to get through Uni so you must be an intelligent lady, give yourself time, don't try to live up to expectations. To everyone else, what a wonderful thread we have going here, we owe Carole a debt of gratitude for starting it and to everyone else for bravely showing their feelings. Much love to all for what you give Janetx

Have been feeling completely drained for the last few months, a friend suggested I try Co Q10 (or Keneka) that was 3 weeks ago, it could be my imagination, but I do feel a lot better ! Boots are doing 7 day trial, but you need to take them for a few weeks, got mine from Holland and Barrat health shop they do different strengths too. It is worth a go. Take care every one. xxxxx

Hi Betty, love the new name! Judie, I have used the Q10's in the past and they are very good,I am sure they work. I couldn't afford them this time and am trying 5 htp as they are on offer in H and B. You do have to make sure the tablets don't work against what you take from the docs tho, but easy to check and be sure. Hi everyone else, I have been about, I looked in last night and pmd Jennifer, we exchanged a few pms, then I forgot to come back to add more here. Have a stiff neck today, lol, I fell asleep half sitting up reading and think I have 'cricked' my neck lol Been a funny week this week, as o.h. on 12 hr shifts - back to normal next week, he is on lates, my favourite cos I can eat what I like for dinner and watch all my fav tv progs lol Can also call lots of friends and chat too without him earwigging. Guess who is posting after a couple of days break. tis me...........
Would love to say I am full of the joys of spring, not even the 'computer lesson' of yesterday brought any fun or laughter..sorry...xxx
I just wish that GR would allow at least one posting, whereby one could give vent to their true feelings, to utter every swear word in the dictionary...would have a field day because I am not just a pretty face you know.lol... Reason for my anger?... someone has been making purchases through my bank account...I noticed three transactions which were not mine late on the 25th, before contacting telephone banking services on the 26th I checked account again..another transaction had taken place. The bank were no help at all, they stated that it would take at least ten days to trace spenders...Today my bank screen showed named companies from whom the purchases were made. I found two of the websites and they related to services for ' interpreters sign language' another being 'pay per view' for some historical site.? Needless to say I have had a stop put on my current account.. thank goodness I have a savings account which I can fund my weekly shopping from.. new card and pin number takes a week to arrive..at least my current account will be operable in the sense that direct debit payments will be honoured, and with online banking I can transfer monies between accounts...
I did have one little laugh though, be it cynical. The young lady in my local branch said 'just pop in and we can get it sorted' !!!!!!!!!!!!! which would mean taking a taxi to Stansted airport, flying up to Glasgow, a train to Dumbarton, then another taxi to the 'branch'... didn't really feel up to it so did not go...lol.
So you dear kind souls..that is your bedtime story for today..you could always have a whip round for me and send me a food parcel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and no laughing at my predicament Deanne, am watching you lass xxxx Loving congratulations again Cazxxx
Be good, be well, am thinking of you all... by the way, welcome to the clan Jenniferxxxx

Hello clan, and welcome to the newest friends to join us. jennifer, please see your doc asap, and be honest with him. In some people anti-depressants can exacerbate the problem, it may not be the right drug for you. Please let us know how you get on. welcome Eleanor also, I'm on the Citalopram also, but still have moodswings and anxiety at times, Personally I don't believe handing someone an Rx is the total answer, one needs to express ones feelings - and fears for optimum results. That's one thing this board accomplishes, people seem to feel safe to be totally honest with others - and themselves. It's not an easy journey but the good days are so worth the effort to get there.
I've been with my grandson all morning and now have to leave for work. he had a lot ofprobs with his innards last evening so couldn't go to school, of course he's been right as rain all morning. and I've been doing their laundry instead of my own. Ten minutes on here then ready myself for work. Hugs Mary

Hi Mary, poor you, take care especially on the drive in and from work. Hope it isn't such a bad shift as some you have had lately, love Lizxxx
Kerry, read the directions properly and take the tablets, they will help you but not if they stay in the pack. You might need to drink a little more liquid than usual, as sometimes they can cause constipation till your body gets used to them. Also, don't drink cups of tea or coffee with your meals, iron from food sources is better aborbed in to your body if you drink orange juice before or with a meal. x

Kerry you have to try them dear.... they will make such a difference to you.
My blood was very low, and there could not have been much oxygen running through me..... the difference it made to me is amazing. I have had no stomach troubles... although the doctor put me on a double does of OMEPROZOLE for the hiatus hernia... so I wouldn't have a dickey tum would I?
You must take them , at least that way you will know if they are doing you any good.
ANN.... who said I was enjoying it??
I said I was DOING IT! lol Actually it was such a pleasure I can't tell you. I have been so lethargic for so long.. I had forgotten what it was like to do something constructive. That is the wonderful thing about my doctor.... she is so tiny, but she lever lets go... if she thinks there is something wrong, she will drive you mad until she finds it. a thoroughly good girls she is.
Having said all that Ann, I woke up yesterday and was like a wet rag. I honestly thought that the iron tablets had done as much as they were going to do! Talk about disappointment?? But today I am fine.
**Joyce P... I'm so sorry about that love... I would not have taken all that money out of your account, if I didn't think you could afford it!!*** ;-0)
Not funny how people think it is their right to help themselves to our goods and chattels.... will the bank reimburse you Joyce???
OKAY DON'T SHOUT AT ME........! tut...
see you all tomorrow. Have a good night. Deanna XX

Kerry thanks for being pleased for me but it happened because I took my tablets, they were chemo and I expected some bad side affects, which I got. Your iron tablets won't hurt you but you will feel an awful lot better, look at Deanna swanking because she can do some dusting and polishing, she wouldn't have been able to do that a couple of weeks ago. When you next post will we hear you have started taking them? I do hope so, you will start to feel better very quickly.
Joyce I am so sorry to hear about your bank, there are some awful people about, hope they get them, will you get the money back? You can do all the swearing you want to, pm me with all your rants and raves and swear words, I will delete it straight off but you will get it off your chest and feel better. You have enough to worry about without this, I wish I could come and give you a big hug.
That's me for tonight, ready for bed now, see you all tomorrow.

Elaine a little walk each day to your mums is a good way to help yourself. When you go out tell yourself it's only for ten minuites. If you feel like staying longer then good, if not go home. Putting a bit of routine back in your days will help you get back to feeling in control of your life!! xxx
Oh dear Joyce, what an awful mess for you to have to sort out. send your true feelings to me on my email address!! I don't care how much you swear! There is worse in this world than a few swear words, and I've used them all, so none would shock me! xxxx
Big welcome to all our new friends xxx I think i'm right in saying we all look in here to see what others have to say, it becomes a habit you can't wait to follow through!! We love to see what each other has been trying to do and how well they did, or if they struggled there is always a feeling of a hug from the others.
OMG I can't do a list of names anymore !!! I'd really hate to miss a name and make anyone feel they have been missed out.
You are all in my thoughts tonight xxx
Took mum and my daughter to look round a few shops then to visit dad in hospital this afternoon. He seems a bit dazed at the moment. Didn't know how many beds were in his ward. Said he hadn't eaten at dinner, but must have had something as it was on his shirt!! It was 70 miles from my house and back. Just couldn't have done that a few months ago!! Couldn't even leave the house!! Going again Saturday. It's his birthday (79) tomorrow so I told mum we could go then but she said she would sooner wait a day then go, xx

Goodness, you got away from me there. Liz, ouch, a stiff neck is very unpleasant, hope it goes soon YCaz, good site that isn’t it. Nobody is worthless and that site puts the message across very w ell. Oh Joyce, this bank business is getting beyond a joke isn’t it? It is time the banks and the powers that be managed to sort something out. I have lost count now with the number of people who have been hit on GR just this week, imagine that multiplied across the country. Have you been using your card on line, or have you any idea where it was cloned? It is the total inconvenience isn’t it. We can imagine the swear words!! Kerry, If your doctor gave you iron tablets he/she no doubt though you needed them. They can make you a bit constipated but you should give them a try, maybe when you don’t need to go out anywhere. Mary, hope you grandson is better now. And you, no doubt are worn out after doing their laundry as well as going to work! Deanna I am sure you will have lethargic days and active ones, but that is better than all lethargic ones. Can anyone remember yeastvite tablets,? I used to take them if I felt down and tired when the children were young in the 60s/70s. Elaine, another one with neck ache, you and Liz can commiserate with each other. I hope it gets better with the heat treatment. Have you got a wheat pad you could heat up and put on your neck? Carole, well done for taking your mum to visit your Dad. We have a friend who is a senior sister in a geriatric ward. She told us, whatever they tell you, don’t believe them. Either they really forget, or they make it up!! We used to visit my dad in the nursing home and he would say ‘haven’t seen anyone all week’. So we’d ask him if ?? had been in, ‘oh yes he came Monday’, then we’d say ‘and how about??? ‘ , ‘Oh yes he came yesterday’, but he genuinely thought he hadn’t seem anyone. We used to tell him he saw more people than us and then he’d laugh.
Anyway, OH’s car has had its service (gulp!) £214. I went with him and drove my car back from the garage. The first time I have driven since the op. wasn’t too bad but I didn’t have to reverse or anything, don’t think I could quite twist round properly at the moment. Getting better though.

hi all thank you so much for your kind words. i went back to see my doctor today, but got a different one. he doubled the dose of my medication, but i ended up feeling worse than when i went in. i'm currently waiting to be put on the waiting list for ivf & he basically told me i was being selfish to even think about bringing a child into the world when i'm feeling like this. the fact that i'm having problems trying to conceive is part of my depression. now i'm not sure what i should do about it. he also told me my tablets wouldn't work as he doesn't believe in them, so in future i think i'll see my usual doctor. just feel as though i keep taking 2 steps forward & 10 steps back.
