and another thing - with regard to not smoking two hours before council workers come into your home!! who's to say they haven't just stubbed a fag out before they came through your front door! It's all a load of bull |

I blame Walter Raleigh for this lot and Queen Elizabeth the 1st - she let it in the country in the first place. |

It really is a ridiculous situation. In the past (before the smoking ban) we could smoke outside in a pub garden area. Now, since the ban, people are complaining because the smoke is wafting into their gardens - what is the difference? |

A few months ago I was listening to a radio disscusion(spelling) on this subject, I couldn't believe what I was hearing, nonsmokers were complaining they couldn't sit outside with a drink because the smoke was wafting across them and one women said she lived by a pub and she couldn't open her windows at night, as all the smokers were outside and she could smell it. So I think it's a case of smokers will never get any peace whatever they come up with. |

MP's can stand on the terrace outside the Members Dining Rooms to smoke - OK it's not like standing in the street, but it is outside (they do have heaters) - I know cos I have been there. |

As a non-smoker it's great to go home from a night out not smelling of other people's smoke. BUT I do think that pubs and clubs should provide somewhere warm and under cover for people who want to smoke. |

Should definitely have non-smoking pubs and smoking pubs - probably end up all of them having a smoking area though lol. |

As an ex smoker, I have mixed views on this subject. I stopped before the ban started in Scotland nearly two years ago. I can understand people wishing to have a smoke with their drink, so agree that there should be smoking facilities available, where smoking staff can work. |

~~~~~~~waves ~~~~~~ to everyone... I agree with the majority.. there should be a decent smoking area as well as a non-smoking area... the needs of everyone would then be met. |
