Thanks Ann, thank goodness it was a fairly quick delivery, sitting on a rubber sheet does nothing for the dignity does it....

Penny, your turkey currey will shift a mountain....lol....thanks for the offer....I'll point myself in your direction while you throw it....

Names......well William Michael if it is a boy, they are family names.....and at the last knockings it was Francesca for a girl.....it was going to be Evie.....but Charlie bagged it first.....but knowing my lot, it will be some other name entirely....

Thanks Tina ......x

You are all really prepared for this aren't you.....and Kemp you will be an old hand by the time your little grandbaby comes along......and Spring and early Summer are lovely times to have a baby.....

My waters broke the day after my due date, when I lifted a small chest of drawers, without the drawers in, across the landing. It wasn't a big gush! I phoned the hospital and they said to have a bath, take my time and come in when I felt ready so had my dinner, as it was about 6 pm, tidied up and went in about 9pm. Had to be started off with drip and once speeded up by new midwife on duty at 10-ish who declared that the speed of the drip was no use so she upped it, I gave birth with the help of forceps wielded by two different doctors, at 4.30 am the next morning. Hope Julie has a less eventful time and things go nice and steadily for her.

UPDATE......the contractions are getting stronger and there are more of them......Nathan is going to ring us when they are ready to go to the hospital......they don't like having them there until they are well on their way.......but how do you tell...

It is their first baby......and Nathan has been busy practising on his new nephew and niece.....

When Julie was here yesterday, she was sure that it would take hours before she produced, being the first.....but I got the call at l2.30 today and it is only 7.30 now......so it may come today after all.....

You are as bad as my Sis, Liz.....she was 2 weeks overdue and hanging curtains, perched on a stool....lol....

Sally

You making me jealous now as my grandbaby ain't do until May.

Daughter going for her 2nd scan on the 3rd January.

Can't wait for May(hope it's a boy this time)

Sally if her waters have broken she could go Into quick labour and a quick trip tp hospital.

Sue

ps just after midnight for your little one.

Sally Moonchild

Sally Moonchild Report 27 Dec 2007 19:34

Does she want to know Kemp?......Tracy and Jay didn't....Tracy wanted a girl, Jay a boy.....Steve and Charlie had the 4D scan and saw it was their 3rd daughter.....Nath and Julie didn't want to know, but Nathan would prefer a boy......I like the not knowing.....

....not sure of the boys names, although they are close family names.....but Francesca I really like....as long as they don't call her Chessy....lol...

Sally Moonchild Report 27 Dec 2007 19:41

Oh Sue, it will be all go for you and Kemp on the boards in May then.....look forward to those little ones coming.......she was unsure if her waters had gone (so I think maybe it was leaking) but they did go......but they sent them home and told them to come back when the labour had progressed, maybe tomorrow morning......looks like the little one has different ideas....

Hiya Polly - whats with the Sherry, I thought you liked something more Scottish than that.....I feel like a brandy at the mo, but can't because of the strong antibiotics I have finished yesterday for the root canal infection......say that drink could react with them for 3 more days......takes in the wedding too.....never mind....

*Polly*

*Polly* Report 27 Dec 2007 19:48

Hope so Polly it is getting a bit like a soap opera round our house.....3 babies in 4 1/2 months.....wedding.....emergency operation on baby granddaughter.....brides dress 4" too short, then 2" too short.....her new car going kaput today, the cakes going awry.......we are lucky people though and I know it will all be OK......all we have after this is MiL's replacement hip on 3rd......same day as Julie was due.....but that will be done by then so only one to think about is MiL......roll on Easter.....lol....

Sally, it is called the nesting instinct lol Had been having the house I had not long bought, modernised and the bedroom and bathroom were decorated and carpeted just in time, hence the moving of furniture. Kitchen under the bathroom was all finished too, and a couple of nights before baby was due, the carpets that had been ordered for months arrived but were the wrong colour. The correct colour was sent the next day and carpet laid, after a friend had banged in all loose nails in floor board (Victorian walk-in terrace). I went to make a cuppa and found water dripping down side of boiler in kitchen, checked and a nail had been put through a water pipe upstairs, carpet had to come up and pipe sealed, and carpet put back down. No wonder I had no energy to push lol

Sally Moonchild

Sally Moonchild Report 27 Dec 2007 20:24

What a nightmare Liz.....carpet is expensive and having to lift it just after laying it and worrying about escaping water....no wonder you were tired.....

When we were talking yesterday, Nathan had finished varnishing the doors, the very last thing to do, and they were going to use the rest of the time before the birth to chill out and have time for themselves.....lol.....not much time now then....he does have paternity leave though....
