Help, I uninstalled something, rebooted, now a lot of my icons on my desktop have disappeared. They are mostly folders I had created. Does anyone know how to get them back. They have stuff in them I need. |

If you remember what you named them, try a search................usually works for me and I'm not that good with computers. |

Click on START bottom LH corner of your screen. In the right hand column of info that appears your will see "Search" . Click on "Search" and go from there Hope this helps |

what I was trying to do and I think I did, uninstalled the deja viewer associated with findmypast images, rebooted and a lot of stuff missing, hope its not gone forever. |

If you are actually referring to Deja Vu (or whatever it is called) then I cannot really see how removing the viewer would cause the problem as you have described, because it is only a browser plug-in rather than a standalone programme. |
