I don't think anyone can be prepared for a cold night when sleeping outside, i can't begin to imagine how the homeless must feel. when you think about it in cases where people have been driven from there homes abroard the troops are sent in with tents and blankets etc and rightly too, so whats the difference homeless is homeless and cold is cold, what ever part of the world you are in. makes you think.

Yes, Maisie but he was angry as if it had been a homeless person it wouldn't have been nice at all.
If you walk through the new centre there is no homeless people in there at all as they get stopped and told they can't go in there which to me is discrimination

Val.. That is dreadful, poor OH.!!! I am glad that he told the security guard how he felt.
Surely that is discrimination to do that to a person?
Hope that Jim has got over the shock now Val!!! Love Maisie

My OH walked through the new shopping centre that has just been built down here and the security guard came up and told he would have to leave he asked why and the security said homeless people are not allowed in this new shopping centre my OH was so angry he said it is an infringement on human rights and he ain't homeless but because he was wearing tracky bottoms and t shirt they assumed he was homeless

If any of the homeless have previously served in the armed forces it could be worth their while contacting SSAFA - Forces Help to seek assistance. Ron

Annie, your right they are so grateful for everything, it makes you feel humble.
As for the way the local councils ignore the plight of the male population never fail to amaze me , if you are homeless you are homeless ,male or female. if a dog is found roaming the street it would be taken to the local dogs home, but if you are a male with no dependants you are left out in the cold.
And before anyone gets the wrong idea, i do like dogs i have one of my own.
