Hey Stella, my dad was born 22nd May 1909 and he was 31 when I was born. So you are not the only wrinkly around. I always say up here 27 (points to head) down here (pointing to body, aching like mad today)...........you do the math.

I don't mind people having fun, often shows they, also, don't want to grow old. Just want something that I can join in with, and judging by late last night and this morning, things have improved. Hope it lasts.

Hi Kitty,
I joined a few years ago and agree with most that has been said on here.
We did used to have some great laughs and some good debates, but they are still going on, you just have to read first and if you dont feel comfortable dont post.
There are lots of really lovely people on here and some really good laughs to be had.
I dont post much now like some of the others i have been stung a couple of times, but i wont leave because of it.
There is lots of support still on here too, hope you enjoy it.

hi kitty ,just got up lol.
ive been here 3 years, and i have to say its much better now.everyone has a chance to add to the boards, and many will support someone being bullied now.where as before lots did,nt dare.
until the boards changed recently, you could see all the old threads, and believe me they wer,nt nice at times.,but i think newbies coming along is good.they can add there bits, and it really does make the board a nicer place.we have debates, support threads, birthday threads, fun threads, informative threads, quiz threads, which EVERYONE can join in.not just a select few.
as for the new boards,im getting there,[slowly]but im happy with them.wish it would be a bit darker[my eyes]but im cool with the new changes.
keep posting and having fun.xxxxxxxxhugs

Stella, that makes you the same age as my sister. One of the early baby boomers.

I agree with you Joyous, but we still need a better balance with a few more informative and debating threads.

From what I have been reading in the last few hours, I think we will get there.

Linda I agree, maybe it is time for the positive people to overcome the negative tiny minority.

I had my first at 21 my last at 44.....three months before the birth of our eldest's firstborn!..............I wouldn't change a thing!

hi linda,[nice to see ya posting.]
ive just looked at page 2,look what carol b has put.
i think for me it speaks volumes.she has a great way with words, the boards are how we make it.our choice.i also think its harder for peeps to spit venom now,as we can all see through it.i....like many want a nice board.and i love it when we get newbies.
right back to p2.lol[i never read then post ,tuts.]xxx

We were all new once and I was a bit uncertain about posting where people seemed to know each other so well.

I strongly disagree with the term cliques. That could equally apply now if that's how people choose to intepret it, I don't. I think there are groups of people who get on and look out for each others' threads, same as it's always been.

I posted rather nervously and was delighted to be accepted by all the members. I have never sworn at, been abusive to or spiteful to anyone on the boards, even thought there are those whose behaviour has appalled me in the past. I just avoid them, it's easier.

It's a bit sickening, frankly, to see some who've abused others being feted as nice and kind and "missed" but that's life, I suppose.
