According to reports, a new witness has just come forward.

Normally, the term 'a fresh witness' would have been used but this individual is several years late in opening her mouth.

Fingers still crossed for a fruitful outcome in the search nevertheless.

i have noticed the bbc news site is very sketchy upto date news on this topic - do you think there is an embargo or they are at last waiting for facts?

Take no notice of Sky News hon. They are the WORST of the lot of them.

Some of the Breaking news stories I have seen on there today are so flaky it's unreal. Real investigative journalists they are not xx

I don't pray, but Madaleine has never left my mind.
I just hope somebody will come forward, and say what happened, and where she is... wherever it is.

Nope.. Me, I'm never annoyed by others opinions. I may not agree with them but I always respect them.

I hope that wherever Madeleine is she is safe and happy.

I hope that she is still with us. My heart tells me she isn't though.

I hope I'm wrong like I've never hoped to be wrong in my whole life.

Bless her heart. xx

you havent annoyed me Margaret - im just now feeling numb about the whole affair. Ive made my thoughts clear bout leaving those kids alone so dont want to bang on about it. I read some v disturbing things in the paper today - but they were claimed by another paper even though they stated they were facts - I now want to sit it out till we have some more conclusive evidence.

I think we now just have to wait and see what the judge decides in the next week or so. We can all speculate. We don't know. No-one does, apart from the person that took Maddie or killed her, or caused her death (cos we are now considering the possibility of sedatives given to her by the parents).

We can go on and on, but we are going nowhere.

If any of you pray, please do, that justice will be done.

Regards to all, I've obviously annoyed a few people, nothing new for me, but hopefully we'll join in productive discussion on some other topic in the future.

People are forgetting that within the first at least 2 months &beyond ,,,,,,MrCanns sisters was out there, on numerous occasions........,her parents were out there, his brother &wife Mrs McCanns uncle Brian Kennedy,,,,,,, was out there, plus other close friends, who the twins were placed with while Mr&Mrs McCann were doing what ever in the media, interviews,Rome.,,,,,,,,plus the local Anglician Priest and his wife gave the full pratical support,,,,,so the twins werent just soley left ,,,,,,,,,,

And they also have had through British Embassy professional support,,,,,,because all this has taken place behind the scenes its thought the parents were acting all the goings and coming all by themselves,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Romany:

I'm no child expert, but I would imagine that it was thought healthier for the twins to go to a creche and have some sort of "normality" in the awful days following the disappearance of Maddy.

Surely the sight of their parents constantly being upset and in despair would not have been good for the twins?

I never cried at my grans funeral and she meant the world to me, I dont cry in public as im quite a private person. But what mother could remain calm and composed when her little girl is missing? I couldn't go for casual walks and be laughing etc just days after; and I don't know a mother who could. Yes, they had the twins to think of but they put them in the day creche every day until they left Portugal, according to a nursery nurse at the hotel.

Kay???? Report 11 Sep 2007 16:29

I'm sure the P/P have been down all the theory roads ,but they like all tied with a police matter as we know work on pure hard evidence, which could have been lost from its real source, and till its produced then theories can be shot down with logic answers,,,,,,,,,I said before had they operated with 21st century forensic ways from the first night or so then perhaps things would have been more positive now instead of straw clutching and wont concider it being nearer to home,

Janet in Yorkshire

Janet in Yorkshire Report 11 Sep 2007 16:27

Jude sarf Wales,

The friend (one of the McCann group) who said she witnessed the man with the child near the McCann apartment later made a statement about this to the police.

At the time she said she'd seen the man, Gerry McCann was standing outside his apartment talking to someone he'd played tennis with, but not one of the McCann party. THAT man has made a signed deposition that there was no man to be seen on the path, nor the lady witness.

The lady witness and 2 other members of the McCann party were invited (as a group of 3) by the PJ to a confrontation with Robert Murat, the first arguido. The meeting was videoed by the PJ.

Men do hide the feelings better than woman.
Gerry did try to hold back when they came off the plane, which must have been hell for themno matter what has happened to Madeleine.

Maybe they are keeping a low profile and not allowed/wanting to say anything in public.

I just thought we would have heard more about them one way or another.

Kathlyn, I am so glad you said that.

My husband and I were tlaking last night about the lack of tears from Kate McCann.
I said that we all act as we act.... and we don't know how until the time arrives.

also spoke about the fact that my husband does not show emotion, he did not even cry at his mothers funeral.

The only time I saw him cry, was the day I came home with our new baby son.
He washed the little things in the sink, and I caught him crying over the little blue nightie.... I have kept that for my son.

Well it wont fit him now.... he is 36 in December... ;-0)

That is why we should not judge others, we are not THEM.

l think (and don't quote me on this) they gave information at the beginning, someone said they saw a child being carried, they did'nt think about it until they realised a child was missing. If this is the case l'm sure they have been questioned and see no reason why we would here if they have given support or not - they are probably doing that right now in the UK.
