Here come Dick and Dora. Look who’s with them. It’s Spot the Dog. Can you spot the dog? He has one ear, and no nose and smells terrible.
Dick and Dora have been to the shops. What a big shopping bag they have. It’s so big it could hold all the items from the supermarket.
Here comes Mr Copper the Policeman. Mr Copper asks to look inside the bag. Dick throws the bag at Mr Copper, and he and Dora run like the wind. Do you know how to run like the wind, children? That’s right, you puff out your cheeks and pant and gasp. Dora tells Dick “You oughta give up smoking.”
Spot the Dog is running down the road after Dick and Dora. Mr Copper’s friend Policewoman Polly Perkins catches Spot and looks at his collar. Dick and Dora’s address is on the disc that is on the collar. Dora does not want Spot to get lost so she put the address on the disc on the collar. Policewoman Polly Perkins knows Spot the Dog belongs to Dick so she takes Spot home. Dick answers the door and he knows why Policewoman Polly Perkins has come. “It’s a fair cop”, says Dick



Dora has gone to visit her mother. Dora’s mother lives in a place called Holloway. While Dora is out of the house, Dick decides to have a bath.
What do you play with in the bath, children? Dick plays with his rubber duck.
The doorbell rings. Dick hurries to answer the door in his bathrobe. Do any of you have a door in your bathrobe, children? Oh look, it’s the Postwoman, Miss Redhead, who is a special friend of Dick’s; Miss Redhead tells Dick she has a special delivery for him, and after she gives Dick the special delivery he signs her form.
At that moment Dora comes home, in a minicab. She sees Dick talking to Miss Redhead and jumps out of the cab and goes into overdrive. Dora reaches into her bag and brings out a big cucumber.
Are you sitting comfortably children? Dick isn’t.
