Really? That sounds interesting skeggy girl! So even though its hard work, its not boring!

I think my dad's mum lied about her father's name on her marriage certificate because she was born out of a marriage. She put charles bailey- deceased, and i cant find him anywhere. It looks as though charles was her mothers dad so she put him to save embarrassment.
Understandable in those days.

i got loads of info from head stones most of my family are buried in a small cemetry in Lambley notts there isnt many other families in there (think they all bought their plots) i know it must be hard for some of me family if there are skeletons in the cupboard as you said it was different in them days and i suppose they never even imagined something like this site happening...x

Really? i suppose you do have to check lots of areas and spellings.

Skeggy Girl, i know what you mean about family not wanting to know the past but as long as you dont publish it, its still between the family!

Wow a knight!! thats cool. I think they beheaded people all the time back then though, he could have been innocent! Even if he wasn't, thats still a cool story.
