Dawnieher3headaches Report 3 Oct 2007 16:52

Well am trying again for me DLA giving me lowest amount for Care is a joke lets hope as I am on more meds and now have me stick and will be getting insoles to help my feet they will see that I am bad .

How come some people manage to get it all but still manage a lot yet those of us that struggle get very little.

Maybe I should invite them to live a few days of my life.

Just on a very strong antibiotic for 10 days ..if it doesnt clear up completely i may have to go into hospital for intravenous antibiotics so fingers crossed....it doesn't seem too bad at the moment.

glad to hear your joining us val, well you know what i mean not glad you suffering but when you can put a name to what your suffering its unbelievable relief isnt it, for years i kept getting your perfectly healthy young women, everything is 'normal' i used ot think this aint normal,
i only got my hysterectomy after the same doctor said he could do it on my health plan, money spoke, he previously said all was normal, until i kept on and on, then money spoke,
its mad isnt it,
take care of your self and keep warm, and dont do as i do and think you dont need the tramadol,
i suffer the nexct day, it takes 2 days to get back to some kind of relief, i should know better !!!!!

Thanks for that Julie ..i have been reading these threads on FM for ages thinking "that sounds like me" now i know that i have the same as all of you.

I was diagnosed 15 months ago and was on a high dose of steroids but managed to reduce them, but just recently had to put them up again.
Will watch this thread with interest.

val polymyalgia, is what they now call fibromyalgia, i read it somewhere recently, oh yeh arthritis mag in docs surgery,

i saw a rheumatologist, he was very arogant, he said you dont have FM ill write to your gp tellin him
he wrote saying i had myofacailskeletal, i think was the term, anyway it was the medical term for FM,
my gp who diagnosed me had his feet up on table chuckling t himself at the arogance of the doctor

Dawnieher3headaches Report 1 Oct 2007 17:26

Seems that the only way to get a definite diagnosis is to get to see a rheumatologist. I had to go through so many tests before my Dr would refer me even when I asked.

Mind you rheumatologist diagnosed several thngs not just the FM.

my pain specialist thinks it may not be down to FM now, she says you definately have FM but need to findout what causing the headaches eliminate stuff first,
she wants me to have scan, so i gota see neurologist on 10th of october now, and also get blood pressure sorted which my one GP is stallin over, though he agrees its high,he didnt like being told by specialist to give me medication, therefore i have to write note to other doc i normally see

Wish I could go to the hospital my GP keeps saying I can deal with it got it in my shoulder blade at the moment going up my neck to my head.

I seem to have it everywhere then I think to myself surely this cant all be fm and arthritis but I dont know as the doc wont let me see anyone

my hubby is marvelous but met an old friend the other day hadnt seen for ages her hubby came up give me hug and and a slap on the back it was like an electric shock going through my body

To each and everyone of you that has fm A Great Big {{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}

Hi all, I bet we are all feeling worse with the rain and cold weather. I am so hoping Malta stays warm while I am there in a couple of weeks so I can get some heat in my bones and joints and relax too.

Dawn, I have given up on the amitrip. as it doesn't do anything for me except maybe make me a bit dopier when I get up.

Will reply to your pm later.
Take care all,
Lizx

Hi Julie Ann

my shin bones have been painful all week and the pain seems to shoot up themj when I walk,no to mention the shoulder and elbow that are useless at moment, havent been able to do half the exercises the clinic gave me.

Is a godsend having the buspass now as today just limped to bus stop with tiddler and went round corner to shop to get the milk and back on bus instead of having to get car out and the pain of driving.

Sure weather is making things worse.

looked a real dork at meeting at laddos school cos words wouldnt come out tey must of thought i was the one with special needs.

Wouldbe nice if the amitriptyline worked and got a full nights sleep even with them doubling it hasnt made a difference
