Thanks Stephen, it's much better. If you do change the colour, could it be a pale one please? Thanks again. Lynne |

Stephen Could you give us a little warning before you start playing with the colours, please? We may all think that we have gone off the rails when we start seeing different coloured screens. Thanks Vera, Manchester LAN |

I think the colours cause problems depending on the resolution of your PC as on mine they seem fine. However, I will have a play with changing the colours on the boards first to see how they look. |

Well it looks like I am not the only one suffering headaches with the colour so I think I will email GC and ask if they can consider changing it. Thanks everyone for your support. Lynne Sale |

Hello everyone, I have noticed that I need to wear my specs more since I started doing my family tree. Thought that it was with spending too long on the computer, but could it be the green??!! |

I believe it is blue that is supposed to be relaxing. Green is for youth, and growth. Even this shade of green isn't very pleasant. I shall put up with it though, the messages are fun. |

Like you Lynne I have red names, black type and green background. I only started viewing the message board on Saturday, and had a headache with so many messages to read (couldn't resist them!). I don't find green relaxing at all-blinding more like! |

Hi Lynne (same name as my sister)! I know you have probs with the colour, but a couple of the others also mentioned text size (tho' I don't think the message size changes even with the setting on largest)! The lefthand coloumn and headings are more legible though. Dierdre X |

Deirdre I agree with you about the size of text, I have set mine to the largest but it's the colour I'm having problems with (I think!!). Lynne |

God forbid that I should teach my grandmother to suck eggs, as I am a complete learner when it comes to computers....but I have found that if I go to the View option at the top of the computer screen, click, select text size and choose the largest option, everything on screen gets big enough to see! Thanks everyone, I thought it was down to the fact that since I joined this site in March my eyes were sore from just using the computer all the time. Maybe its the colour or maybe I need glasses. I would go and have my eyes checked tomorrow but its a bit pricey these days, have to wait till I get paid! Allie,SAL |
