I am totally in agreement with this, I got asked about 3-4 weeks ago now, by two young lads who must of been been no more than 12-13 if I would go in to the shop I was passing at the time and get them some bangers! I said no, I didn't play with things like that when I was their age so I'm certainly not gonna buy fireworks for lads their age now, I always say no when young kids who are waiting outside shps ask if I'll buy ciggies for them, I'm a smoker but I never asked adults to buy me ciggies when I was 13-14 I daren't!!! I find it somewhat ironic, that the people who say that Remembrance Day is outdated as it happened a long time ago, are the same people who happily light their bonfires and let off their fireworks. The gunpowder plot happened 100s of years before the Armestise. |

If the idiots were made to go to a burns unit, to see the damage caused, they might grow up. When you think of all the many people affected by war - you think they would stop to think. Liz |

I thought this web-site was all about genealogy / family history ! ! What on earth has fireworks got to do with family history? I actually agree with all the comments . . . . . but I fail to see why this subject should be aired - in so much detail - on a web-site such as GenesConnected. |
