The US sitcoms - Friends, Sienfeld, King of Queens, The 70s Show, the list goes on ... and the sad thing is my hubby LOVES 'em! Can take or leave Changing Rooms and programmes like that. I LOVE E.R! Sob into my tissues when ratings season is finished and it goes off here! And also like the home grown 'Gardening Australia'. It is only a half hour show once week but really informative. Postman Pat has to be up in the faves along with Bob the Builder and another Aussie on Creek to Coast (camping, fishing, day trips & bushwalking. Very family orientated usually). Now don't you lot laugh ......... Sunday mornings can find me standing infront of the tellie ironing (Yes! That is funny! Especially the look of loathing on my face!) watching ...... Songs of Praise! It isn't the singing that gets me in ;) it is the beautiful scenery and historic commentary that goes with it. I find it really interesting! It is great to see the places that surround you guys! Hi Instead of watching programmes that drive you mad why don't you switch off the T V and read or listen to music instead it's much more relaxing and rewarding Bren |

Brenda You suggest turning the tv OFF...a lot of people don't know where the switch is (lol) As for reading or listening to the radio...well! as JMc used to say " You cannot be serious " (LOL) Someone told me that they don't read books because they read one once, can't remember the name...but it had a green cover! Virtually everything - soaps, docusoaps, reality TV, those annoying, never-ending **** from Hell programmes. However, I do love comedies. :-)) Fave programs: Knowing Me Knowing You/I'm Alan Partridge, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, The Office, Spaced, Open All Hours, Only Fools & Horses (before they flogged it to death), Auf Wiedersehen Pet (first series was the best). I'd be hard pressed to think of anything else but I liked the revival of Treasure Hunt (used to be on C4 many years ago with Anneka Rice) that was shown last year with Suzi Perry & Dermot Murnaghan. Disappointingly the Beeb gave it zero promotion and predictably it sank without trace I also used to like The Bill once upon a time when it was actually a police series not the farcical pseudo-soap opera that it's now become. The truth is though that I rarely scan the TV guide, because I find the majority of programmes to be completely uninspiring and unimaginative, so chances are if a good programme did come along, I'd probably miss it! |

None drive me mad as I only watch factual programmes, Soaps, dramas etc are the figments of peoples imagination and, sometimes, the authors do not seem to have experienced real life |

I love all those programs so much, that I listen to the 'Archers'. Rest of the time it's music, music, music. Sometimes I switch on the G.C. message board, that's very entertaining, and if I fancy a bit of culture I switch to the guest book. |

The only programm really worth the licence fee is on radio - I'm sorry I haven't a clue. The programme least worth the licence fee is whatever live sports that runs over and hence cause something I was planning to watch, to be rescheduled. Why oh why do they do that? Hilary |
