Being a Yorkshireman, I wondered when I started looking backwards, where my family originated from. I have found ancestors from Yorkshire, Durham, Derbyshire, Ireland, Middlesex (possibly from Germany), a bit of Cornwall and Devon. Thankfully no Lancastrians! (lol). Where are yours from?

Essex (hopefully), Surrey (briefly) and Sussex, Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire; Counties: Clare, Monaghan, Donegal or Fermanagh, Galway, Wicklow, Antrim and "yet to be discovered"; and Ontario, Canada. Bob: Must be difficult trying to keep your counties straight. :~)

Essex mainly, then London, 1 lot from Beds, 1 lot Cambs and 1 lot Kent/Sussex Weald. Then just found out maybe 1 of the London lot started out in Bristol ..... Maz. XX

Mostly from Essex and the East end of London and Hertfordshire and then back in Ireland. Kathy originating from the East End of London (Clapton to be precise)!

Mine are from (so far) Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Glamorgan, Monmouthshire, Canada, Hampshire, Surrey, Ireland, South London. Hubby's are from Devon, Northants/Oxfordshire borders and South London. My kids' are from all of the above and Langley Vale! Sue

My dad's side Hertfordshire then north east London. Mother's side Kent. Wife's south east London and Essex.

Canada via Ireland, London, Hereford and Shropshire, Oxfordshire, Scotland (which my aunt is still saying can't be true even though I found her father's birth certificate there!) Patsy

On my Grandfather's side, every single person, so far, from Norfolk - and, in fact within about a 20 mile radius of each other (obviously not big travellers !). On my Grandmother's side, all from Lincolnshire all the way back to the 1600s right up until 1915 when my Grandmother's parents decided to move to Norfolk - co-incidentally to within the same 20 mile radius mentioned above - quite convenient really, otherwise my Grandparents would never have met otherwise !

Living in NZ we had to come from somewhere else. Nth Ireland, Scotland, England. We have family in Sth Africa, Amercia, and Australia. But they probably went there.....
