Hi Andy, I have thought about this long and hard. I love most music but if the choice was limited to only eight. I have to think longer and harder. Taking into account that these are the only discs that you will be hearing for twenty four hours a day every day. The wrong choice would drive me mad. My first choice would be "The Blue Danube" by Strauss Jnr. No! I am not a classic buff. The notes are devine and the louder the better. The music fills my soul and is appropriate for all of my mood swings. My second disc would be "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. I am still thinking about the others! Lindy:-) listening to Eric Clapton Unplugged. |

Jan, Think it was The Ronettes that sang 'Baby I Love You'. The Ramones (Joey Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, etc...) were a major 70s punk rock band that had hits such as 'Blitzkrieg Bop' (another fave tune of mine that didn't make my list) and 'Sheena Is a Punk Rocker'. My fave Stone Roses song is 'Ten Storey Love Song'. |

Good heavens Andy, I thought the 'what tickles your taste buds' thread was difficult, but this is impossible. I suppose it would depend what mood I was in and whether I was drunk or sober! 3 Albums I would like to take are Out of the Blue by ELO, Stevie Wonders Original Musicquarium and Making Movies by Dire Straits. Maybe we could take one of those new fangled ipod things. My sisters got one and she says they hold hundreds of tracks. Jeanette |

Jan, I'm a big Paul Weller fan too and I was rueing a missed opportunity to see him live a few years ago when he came to Middlesbrough to play at the town hall. Favourite songs of mine: 'A' Bomb In Wardour Street by The Jam, You're The Best Thing by The Style Council (curiously used on a Ribena commercial for reasons that I can't fathom) Out Of The Sinking (as a solo artist) |

Paul Weller, think my music has changed with him. Cant think of a particular song that would be the best. But I also had loads more but I thought people would think I'm a bit strange... Doris Day, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Theatre of Hate, Spear of Destiny, Iggy Pop and The Carpenters!!! Strange mixture, but hey! |

Hiya Andy, As it is Carol's birthday tomorrow I suddenly remembered Paul Anka and "Oh Carol" This would be my fourth choice. Sorry its taking so long to make up my mind but if I was to be stranded on a desert island I would have to be very choosy. That's four down and four to go. Lindy:-))))))))))) |

Well that has to be the closest match to my tastes so far Natalie ! Don't often come across Lamb fans - ever seen them live ? I was supposed to a few years back but had my foot strapped up & couldn't go (don't ask). Wasn't the Tricky version of Karmacoma called Hell Is Round the Corner btw ? Rick. |
