Latest update on my mum. Sounds like a news bulletin,,but so many of you have shown an interest in my mums illness,it`s only right and proper,( it`s helping me as well ), that I keep you up to date. Today has been as good as yesterday, with her showing an improvement, small, but none the less,an improvement. I actually fed her a few spoons of dinner, and a drink. She done it for me,so just returning the favour. Her blood oxygen levels are slowly rising, so, no respirator.and she seems quite happy, with an ocassional half smile. Long way to go still, but we`ll get there. Many thanks again to all of you. Barry. XXXX |

Hi Baz Thanks for the update, I think I say for everyone of your GC friends WE all look forward to hear how Ethel is doing each day and todays news is brill, now that she has come off the respirator, she will pick up alot quicker and as you say you can see the improvement. I know the feeling of having to feed your Mum, I had to do the same for mine towards the end and she said to me that the roles had been reversed. Don't forget to tell her each day that she is special and that you love her. That's one of things I miss. Give her a hug for me. Helen |

Baz, that's brilliant news. I am sure your mum has pulled through the worst and its just gonna take time now. I had a few tears when i read about you feeding your mum, it brought back a lot of memories. Knowing that you love her will help her more than anything else. Sheila x |

Mums update, Mum has had a good day, and been eating and drinking a lot more than yesterday. She has had more tubes removed, and her blood oxygen has risen. She is obviously still very weak, but , I think, definately on the mend. So much so, that the nursing staff, are thinking about placing her in a general ward, great news. I`m sure it`s all down to your prayers and kind thoughts. Many thanks again. Barry. xxxx |
