I f she knows where she was registered, and it is local, she can go and request it there and then. They can't refuse you except on a Saturday. You will need the full certificate. Ros |

hi i read somewhere that the passport office will only be taking full birth certificates sometime this year can't for the life of me think of the date. Its to help cut down on forgerys. so i would ring the office and check first sandra |

Be careful with a short cert - when applying for passport. When we applied for passports - hubby's application was sent back -because he had a short birth cert - and not a full cert. We had to obtain a full cert - for him to get his passport. They would not accept his short birth certificate. Liz |

Does anyone know if you can use a GRO certificate copy to get a passport? My friend has lost her birth certificate and asked me how do go about getting a copy she can use. Thank-you |
