Hi all, I was born in Bow, centuries ago. Moved to Barnet in 1939, where I started my first job from school (that was in 1951). Around that time I used to go to see Spurs regularly with my dad then. Fantastic team they were in the 60's; now look at them. Wife is from Palmers Green. We met at a tacky dance hall in Wood Green (Salon Bal, I think it was called), in '56. Happy days........ Brian ;-o) |

Just been back to Enfield for a short trip - fantastic! And you can't beat London water - better than the chlorinated stuff in Gloucester, I can tell you! |

I may now live in Sunny Shropshire but was born and brought up in North East London. Leytonstone to be exact. It used to be nice but was horrified when I went back there a few years ago. Support (said in whispers) West Ham. When I lived at home, and still think of London as home after 30 years living away, we felt sorry for anyone that lived south of the river, poor soles and anyone north of Watford was a northener. I suspect that the South Londoners realised that they were poles apart and kicked them out. LOL |
