Rugby - Jason Robinson has been into where I work, my partner works with Mick Cassidys mother, and knows Mick well, Sean Edwards. Motorsport - Bob Heath, Geoff Duke, Stanley Woods, Chris Vincent (used to race sidecars), Sammy Miller, Carl Fogarty, Bill Swallow, Joey Dunlop, and I've danced with Roger Marshall (1970s motorcycle racer). Heather Small coming out of the local spar. Russell Boulter (the bill) used to go to the same school. Had my pic took with Reg Holdsworth from corrie (can't think of his real name). Saw Larry Grayson years ago in his rolls royce in Torquay. A friend of ours is very pally with Pete Waterman. All a bit sad really.

When I was 14, I worked weekends in the Crown Hotel in Matlock, Derbyshire. One Sunday, we had a football team come in for afternoon tea upstairs. My brother was getting autographs left right and centre ... I was none the wiser ! not interested in football. I kept asking my brother what all the excitement was about ... he just laughed at me and told me I was stupid ! When the Owners of the hotel came in later I asked them... Man Utd Football team ... Top of the league at the time ! Derrr ! I also went to school with a famous snooker player who lived at Darley Dale, Nr Matlock. He was in the year below me ... can't think of his name off hand .. think he won this year or he was in the final ? Paul ?? Thats my lot ! nothing spectacular ... Oh, met the Queen in 1977 at her jubilee .. she came to Matlock and handed out Silver Spoons (still got mine !) Elaine :-)

Diana Doors she was at Skindles Hotel in Maidenhead, she was doing a radio show with Kenny Everet, he was laughing at her and called her a gutty pig because she was eating all the peanuts, an odd couple to be friends but hilarious. Debbie (Canada).

I met the Queen when my eldest was in recovering from an op - she was opening the Leicester Royal Infirmary's new children's ward. She was lovely - took time to speak to everyone. At least I recognised her this time - she once came to Stevenage to look at the new housing estates when I was about 5 - apparently I got very upset saying I hadn't seen her because there wasn't a lady wearing a crown!
