Hello Helen Little Nell, Sorree..... so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't read your message properly. While the rest of us are playing the role of Flaps the Vulture to GC/R's Mowgli in the next chapter of Internet Jungle Book, please do have a really great wedding anniversary! (Save a glass for us, after we stagger out of She's "coffee morning" - hee hee!) Good luck & celebrate! Philip |

Val try this scone recipe. 1lb s.r. flour 4oz marg milk to mix tbsp sugar good pinch of cinnamon good handful of sultanas or any dried fruit Rub flour and marg together until looks like breadcrumbs. Mix in the sugar and fruit. Mix in the milk a little bit at a time until you have a dough similar to bread dough, use your hand to mix the milk in but do it gently. Roll out to about an inch thick (the thicker the dough the higher the scones) cut with a cutter, place on tray and brush tops with egg white and sprinkle with sugar. Cook on gas mark6 for approx 15 mins or until tops are golden brown. Maureen |
