Persur, I have a vacancy for a barperson (with experience) and a potperson (duties include collecting and washing glasses, ashtrays etc.) Please send them along to the bar before lunch as I will be too p*ssed to interview them after the happy hour-hic! Cheers Viv. Liz, the champers is mine-hands off!

Mommylonglegs As I am a paying passenger, I do realise I can sit back and watch the water go by. But I was wondering if you might need a Nail Technician as I quite enjoy tending to talons!! I'm sure the Brothel girls would love to have a manicure! I dont do feet!!! What do you think? Lady M

Lindy has kindly reminded me what I'm supposed to be doing. LOL. The reception/security desk will be open briefly this morning, for the sale of postcards, stamps and most other things. Am afraid David will have to manage as per norm, to do security checks - unless there are men involved. As Viv is Landlady of the bar - perhaps she will be nice and give me some time of to test the champers? Liz

Please remember - no spitting, swearing or f**ting in the bar. Happy hour at 12 noon till 1pm. Pimms No 1 with all the trimmings served 6-7pm. Thank you. Viv Alcoholic Landlady of the bar.

Hiya All - Admiral, Cap'n, Slappers et all - have you missed me? Unfortunately a stupid bugger (as opposed to the lazy one) finally managed to get in all 5000 nails in my lid on Sunday morning, and it's taken me this long to get out - needless to say I am rather peckish and could do with a bite - will be reporting for duty once Ive had a whirl around the ship, seeing who is available (I mean, what there is to eat) Then I must get some sleep, nail chewing is a very tiring past-time. I will get the so and so though, as all the while she was hammering she was singing "If I had a hammer....." so I'm looking for a hefty alto-soprano slightly off-key who obviously had nothing better to do with her time that nail me in!!! Be afraid my dear, be very afraid!!! Jac the Drac

Len: Chief Engineer: Oh I am so glad you've come back, I've been looking everywhere for you! After last night's storms and gales I'm glad you have taken us into port! As I said earlier this evening, we need to asses what damage was done, if any, so that we can set sail again tomorrow for Mondelo, the the main port of the Cape Verde islands. Can you let us know what this damage is please: so that we can resume tomorrow.

HI Lindy and Margaret: THank you for the invitation, but I shall have an earlier night tonight, so that I am more rested than I was last night! Glad you've got Boris secure! Did the vet not turn up to remove Strump's rocks? Good to hear you've got more supplies on board Margaret, that was good thinking on your part: did you find any unusual plants etc. on the island. Would be nice to have something different to eat tomorrow: perhaps you could rustle something exotic up for Lunch tomorrow.

Margaret

Margaret Report 22 Aug 2004 22:38

This a very nice wine Lindy....Boris baby, hows that nasty tooth, why hasnt that bad nasty dentist been to see you. Are you going to spit that nasty stone out and give it to me and Lindy. Maggie

Lindy Report 22 Aug 2004 22:30

Admiral, Maggie and I have decided to stay on board as we are afraid someone might hurt Boris as he has one Lady Mucks..oops Marmelade's jewel's stuck in his teeth and we are afraid that someone might try to use Physical force. WE are having our own little party at the bar if the Admiral would care to join us. I have taped Boris's jaw shut so he will not take a nip. As far as the ladies of the night are concerned they have all gone ashore and hopefully, they will forget to board before we sail in the morning..."Grin" ;-)) The rest of the problems.. which are of no concern to this voyage has been left off of this thread and I trust that the Admiral will agree. Your servant COOK, THE FAT LADY

Lindy and Margaret: thanks for that encouragement! I was getting a bit of a Persecution complex! Hopefully Mommylonglegs and I will be able to see which passengers are on board either later or tomorrow: Are you all enjoying visiting this island, or have you just stayed on board in the Bar....or whereever?
