Don't have one. Have always felt deprived but then read recently that middle names only came into fashion relatively recently so now console myself that my family is "traditional". Angela

Rebecca

Rebecca Report 23 Aug 2004 19:02

I'm Rebecca Louise, my sister is Rachael Louisa. There were complications at my sisters birth, the Doctors decided she needed to be baptised within an hour of being born, as she wasn't going to make it. Mum was drugged, tired and losing blood herself, Dad was not around, so Mum said the first name that came into her head. Rachael is now 32, living in Holland, and know as someone not to mess with !!!! Rebecca

I was conceived on coronation night 1953. When my dad went to register the birth he decided to give me June and Elizabeth as middle names, for obvious reasons.

mine's doreen after my aunt - used to hate it when I was younger cos I knew a family that wasn't very nice who had a daughter Doreen! Glad my mum didn't carry on the family tradition - nan and grandad were Charlotte Rebecca and William Alfred - guess what their children were! My brother's William, after grandad, uncle and my dad's middle name. My husband has no middle name but all our children do - eldest is William (my dad), then Brian (hubby's dad), Richard (hubby's uncle). Our eldest daughter was going to be the last so she got Rebecca as a first name and Mary (hubby's mum) as a middle. Then came our happy accident and hubby's sister-in-law provided the middle name Karen, pronounced care - en.
