'fraid I'm going to have to say 'goodnight': very tired after a busy day. I'll just curl up here near the fire in my blanket (does get chilly at night doesn't it?) See you tomorrow, hope it's another fine, sunny day, so that we can get on with our tasks. 'nite |

Baz: I've just got back, and couldn't see that plane's wreckage at all, perhaps it floated out of sight, that's such a shame, not only for them, but for us as well. Well, Lindy, looks like we've got ourselves a very sensible person amongst at last! Hope you can cook anything we do find, if Baz promises it will be unrecognisable. Please, we need you! What happened to the other cook, Sassy? Baz: I wasn't able to bring too much, because I didn't have much time, but this is what I've got Couple of bottles of dutyfree Gin Some Teabags and Biscuits Toilet bag with brush/comb/toothpaste and soap and flannel Penknife Blanket Lifejacket I hope these might be of use. |

Baz, Sorry, but there is not much that you could do with what I brought in my survival bag. The list is as follow" Magic bottle of whisky, (half empty or half full, never empty) Swiss Army knife Bottle of Antibiotics Thongs for my feet Manchester United Cap Ball of string Bag of salt. I will part with the antibiotics and the string, as the cook I shall need the rest ;-) FAT LADY, retiring for the night ( curling up on the ground next to the fire and using Boris as a pillow) |

One point I will mention, although pretty obvious, is, we are marooned on this tropical island, with warm water all around us, and may seem idealic, for swimming etc, but remember, there may be sharks, water snakes, and God knows what else in the water. Just be careful, and observant. If you sight a turtle, then holler out, they make lovely eating. |

Before we embark on this `adventure`, I would ask everyone to hand in whatever they brought ashore with them, just to assertain what tools we have, and therefore what tools we need to make. That includes pins and needles etc, from you ladies. These can be used for fish hooks. |

Fat Lady, I`m sure that small problem can be overcome. You will find that the snake will taste just like chicken, when cooked. Eels, when boiled, will taste just like any other fish. But we will make sure that either will be given to you, in pieces so as not to upset you. |

A rescue fire will be constructed at the highest point that we can manage, and will be manned every day, by at least one person. I`d suggest, that bows and arrows, and spears, will be made, for obvious reasons. These can be made using vines, and the springy parts of exsisting trees etc. There are wild boar on this island, and you must be prepared to kill them. I`m sure Fat Lady would appreciate the fact, that she can use her cooking skills to feed us all. |

Baz, There are not many things that frighten me in life... but snakes are one of them.. I will not touch skin or cook a snake as long as we have that sorted we will get on just fine... P.S. That includes eels which some people think are delicious but to me it is just another snake.... FAT LADY |

While the men are doing this, we will also get a fire going, in the middle of the clearing, which shall remain burning at all costs. A latrine shall be dug, just outside the camp, and with a seperator between the men and ladies. Men will look after theirs, and the women will do likewise. After all this, and whenever possible, more substantial shelters will be built. |

OK then, First things first. Let`s get the camp moved to higher ground. The women can do that. The men, we`ll go to the new camp site and do some clearing, rocks and snakes etc. I suggest we cut down some forked branches, to catch the snakes, just behind the head, as these could be used for food. There will be some trees, with their branches almost touching the tree next to them. Pull the branches closer together, and sling a hammock, made from the palm leaves, and vines, between them, This will keep you off the ground, for the time being. |

Yawhn!!! Been around the Island and cannot find that "Sassy" kid. Saw the plane go up in flames... Don't think he had time to send a message off as he was too busy tryinig to get out."poor chap". Further inland there is a natural fresh water pool that flows out to sea. There is a waterfall just above that would be perfect to collect fresh water. I have seen a couple of wild Boar but there is no hope in hell that I would try to kill one of them..... Sorry! no food until someone decides to do some hunting.. I did find a few eggs but it is not enough to feed us all. Thank goodness for Boris who knows how to fish.....Sorry, looks like fish and fruit for supper...AGAIN!! FAT LADY |

When we first arrived here yesterday, I noted that several people had brought with them some quite sensible things, that properly used would help to make life easier. David's been gone some time now, so perhaps he's decided to bed down where ever he got to, and will return tomorrow. I'm not very d.i.y minded I must admit, but am quite a good house-keeper, so could get shelters in order and neat inside. And I think I could, with some authority, get the kitchens up and running together with the cooks. |

Oh Baz, sorry I wasn't here when you arrived: I'd gone further over the island to see what happened to that plane: poor chap came down in the sea by the looks of it. I think David went in the other direction to do the same. Oh, and Doctor Jenny, where HAVE you been. There's been some awful goings-on here since we got out of the lifeboats. A whole crowd of .... well, sluts ....said they'd been passengers on the Cruise, but I'd never seen them before: only David and Grampa Jim did any real work towards getting up a camp. Now Baz says the camp is in the wrong place anyway. So we'd better see if we can shift it all. Did you see that plane? I thought it had seen David's S.O.S. stones on the beach, but I'm not so sure now, perhaps it was a day trip from one of the other islands. Baz!!! If you are willing to take charge of relocating the camp to somewhere better, then that's great. I'll help in any way I can, and I'm sure Doctor Jenny will too. Jean's about somewhere too. I did try to take charge here, but those women just wouldn't listen, all they wanted was drink and men. We must keep that S.O.S. message and the fire going on, because if that plane DID spot them, they've probably radioed and we could still be rescued very soon. Just tell us what you want us to do. There's a couple of the Ship's cooks about, they'd help. |

OK then, assuming no one else would like to do some arranging, would you all come forward with you skills, and we`ll start the process of `survival` |

Essex Baz | Report | 29 Aug 2004 20:36 |
I`ve noticed that you`re all walking around half naked, now I like to see the half naked bodies of you women, but consider the effects of the sun. Unless you`re working or relaxing in the `jungle`I would suggest you all cover up, that goes for the blokes as well. |

Now you all know me, Fix-It, so I can add a bit of alsorts really, so who else has certain skills. Come on, don`t be shy, your survival counts on it. As well as your fellow passengers etc. |

I think, if I`m going to stay with you, we should consider moving, and giving specific jobs to certain people, cos lets face it, we may, or may not, be rescued. We must therefore think that we won`t be rescued. Anybody with certain skills, must come forward, no matter how small, fishing, building, dress making, cooking, carpentry, medical, physical education, dentistry, and also the ability to entertain, ( keeping spirits high ) |
