Just got back from the Parkway Tavern - everything's OK for the 9th of April. So that's The Parkway Tavern - 2 minutes walk from Parkway Rail Station Bristol - 12 noon onwards. The Manager says just to ring her a couple of days before and she will section off one lot of tables for us to use. There is a function room upstairs - at a cost of £60 but I thought we may prefer having the run of the pub downstairs - which looks just right for what we want. (Including Sky Sport for those other halves being dragged along that can't bear to be parted from the telly on a Saturday afternoon- muted but they can't expect everything! lol) Rather than a buffet or set time for lunch - I thought it best to order and eat as and when we want - making things easier for those travelling any distance to choose what time they eat. OK? We may have to split up if there is a lot of us wanting to eat at the same time but I daresay that we wouldn't be sticking to our little corner anyway! A good selection of food served - all reasonably priced and typical pub grub type of fare. I have menus if anyone would like to see them - mail me with your e-mail address and I will scan it and send it to you. The Manager has said that if anyone wants to - you can pre-order food so that's ready for whatever time you want it on the day. They don't have accomodation at the pub but as Rick and Jan have pointed out (see link in their posting) there is a Hotel quite close by. I will be sorting out alternatives in case there may be some of you that would prefer to stay in the City Centre and want somewhere to stagger back to after clubbing. I'll try to get that information to those wanting accomodation as soon as I can. If you want to negotiate a discount by getting together - I'll leave that to you to sort out between you. Everybody's requirements may be different. I shall put together maps etc. I'll send those to you as soon as I get them done. So email addresses to me again please. Hope this is all OK Magsxx

9th April sounds OK at the moment Mags. I think it was the Parkway we went to before for a meet. if so the landlord was extremely helpful and we had an alcove to ouselves with tables all put together for us. there were about 15 of us there last time. There will be the two of us as Tony will drive me. Let us know how you get on. Ann Glos

I would be interested too in the 9th April. I agree Parkway would be much better than anywhere in the centre of the city.

Put us on the list please Mags as probables. I heard quite good reports about the place since it's refurbishment but have not been there myself.
