Below are 50 lyrics from 60s songs. Some are easy, some are hard and some are just snippets from a line rather than the whole line. Just name the song and the artist who had the biggest hit with it in the 60s (not necessarily the writer). I'll do my best to keep score while single-handedly exhausting the world's tissue supply *sniff* Have fun !!! Rick. |

1 Break my heart and leave me sad 2 True love means waiting and hoping 3 Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain 4 She's much too nice to rearrange 5 The sound of strangers sending nothing to my mind 6 I'm just lookin' for a dear dear friend of mine 7 Her guests sleep from sin 8 You walk into the room with your pencil in your hand 9 Sky of blue and sea of green 10 He's doing the Fly ev'ry day and ev'ry night 11 You hear the happy sounds of the carousel 12 Funny but it's true 13 Say that you want me 14 Other eyes see the stars up in the sky 15 Whatever it is that girl put a spell on me 16 When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead 17 I'll stay with you till my seas are dried up. 18 If it had a set of wings man I know she could fly 19 She brightens up the neighborhood 20 Pumped a lot of pain down in New Orleans 21 For every kiss you give me I'll give you three 22 No one alive can always be an angel 23 I've been for a walk on a winter's day 24 Well I gave him roasted toadstools and a glass of dandelion wine 25 The six o'clock alarm would never ring 26 He buys a gun, steals a car 27 Noble kings and princes would bow whene’er they came 28 Shirt them a-tear up, trousers are gone. 29 But now old friends are acting strange 30 Lonely man cries for love and has none 31 Maybe tomorrow a new romance 32 She's been dead since 1929 33 All through my coffee break time 34 It's by your side I will stay 35 Wind velocity nil 36 Now you've been burned just like I said you would. 37 See the battlefields of careless sins 38 I'd give the moon if it were mine to give 39 The rhythm of a gentle bossa nova 40 I pray for stormy weather 41 You gotta make love, don't tease her 42 Just about five feet four from her head to the ground 43 Her voice was soft and cool 44 Arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak 45 Nowhere is there warmth to be found 46 Through the door there came familiar laughter 47 A hundred times I'll take you back 48 I'm intelligent and clean 49 Stop this madness before it starts 50 See through baby blue |
