Oh now you are talking Lucia. I used to play badminton for the West of Scotland. Even won a few championship matches. Used to play in a club with all Scottish International players so got really good. One of them went on to win the World Men's Doubles at the Kelvin Hall. Oh happy days. Haven't played for quite a while but can still give them all a run for their money down here. Still have my Carlton 3.7 rackets. Used to get them strung by an old guy in Glasgow. Hi Christine Yes I'm back. Spent the weekend moving daughter into her new flat (5 mins walk from us). Managed to keep the computer and the kitchen sink, she took everything else. I'm being good and getting the decorating done. Aileen |

Ok on me guinness as i am not allowed after today, so making the most of a good thing LOL. Yes Aileen daughter must be clever, not go to far, she can still borrow a cup of milk and teabags if she is stuck. |

Oh every year at Xmas we went to the circus and fair in the Kelvin Hall. It was fantastic. We used to come home laden with prizes. One of my uncle's friends was fantastic at darts and he even used to throw 6' nails (he was on the telly) in the 60s demonstrating it. Oh I suppose I do have some hidden talents Lucia but don't get much time these days. I was very good at landscape painting and won a competition at the Art Galleries in Glasgow when I was 10 yrs old. It was a still life picture of a fruit bowl. It was even exhiited. Now I'm starting to teach my grandson to paint and our latest craze is building dolls houses/shops. We have three on the go at the moment. Aileen |
