Ok Twizz, go ahead..........I am all ears.......thats where the steering wheels turn to a suitable angle, relative to each other, so that they track correctly? when negotiating corners.......? what I also find interesting is the way that on long trailers the rear wheels steer themselves.........

Twizz, I haven't been given that information, I am still living in the realms of the Rack and Pinion system.

Having been away trucking for a bit missed the thread but what do you blokes think about the principle of the Ackerman steering system ?

Alright. Einsteins theory of relativity. e=mc2 Doesn't mean a thing unless someone can also tell me the parameters used. Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. Mass in what? Grammes Tonnes or, dare I say, ounces? Speed of light in what? Miles per hour? Kilometers per hour? or per second? What he also said about relativity is that we can only measure something in relation, or relative, to something else. When you are sitting in a train at the Station and there is another one alongside you and one of them starts to move you can't tell whether your train or the other on has started to move. You only know that there is a relative movement between the trains until you see that your train is moving relative to the ground.
