Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 10 Mar 2005 19:23

Yes, there are 4 mistakes. 3 spelling mistakes and the mistaken claim that the sentence contains only two mistakes. Try this one while I eat my dinner. On the table is a carton containing six eggs. If six people each take one egg, how can it be that one egg is left in the carton? Aileen

Either it was a 12 carton that had 7 in it before the 6 people had one each OR One of the people took the carton containing the last egg.

Yes Peter you got it. The last person took the last egg, still in its carton. Detctive Sergeant Smith turned up at the station slightly later than he intended. He didn't start working, he just looked at his watch, sighed and went home. His chief wasn't a stickler for punctuality so why the change of heart? Aileen

Peter

Nothing wrong with your brain cells this evening Peter! A woodcutter had a cube of oak which never got smaller and was never cut. How can it be that he changed its shape from a cube to a pyramid, and then to a rectangle?

Unknown

Unknown Report 10 Mar 2005 19:36

By partly burying it in the ground.

By adding segments to it. You didn't say it didn't get bigger.

Peter

Peter Report 10 Mar 2005 19:50

No Peter. You have to look past the fact that he HAD a cube of oak and although it was never cut, what could he have done to it to make it change shape?

Peter

Peter Report 10 Mar 2005 20:01

theres sanding it, buning it, planeing, or useing it as part of some thing eles (like a brick)
