just had my monthly review at work with my boss and got a pat on the back, so decided to use the opportunity to see if my company will help out with the sponsorship. Was told to write a formal letter, saying why I wanted to do it, etc and then my boss will present it to the board. He sounded fairly positive about it so fingers crossed and said if it did get turned down then he'll make sure that he helps me out one way or another. A happy Andy. |

Fingers crossed Andy! Clare and I are being interviewed by our local radio station - Ridings FM after work. We will be on their news tomorrow. Lets hope we can drum up some sponsorship! Also, I am trying to recruit more men. Will keep you posted. Jack xx |

I LOVE MY MUM. She is quite overweight and has battled with it for years but never had a real incentive. Now, because I'm doing this Trek she is doing it for The Pink Fund and instead of getting people to sponsor her, she is giving me £5 for every pound she loses to add to my total. What a star! Daisy |

I have just walked to Waitrose (1 1/4 miles exactly and felt like 10 coming back!). The idea is to buy what I need on a daily basis and walk 2 1/2 miles at the same time. However, small tip for the unitiated; buying 2kg of apples, 4 pints of milk and 1 bottle of Ribena as well as 1kg of sausages, beans, strawberries, cream, crisps, snacks for kids, choc drops, 1kg butter, 1kg marg and a dozen eggs (school cake sale at the weekend), is a tad ambitious!!!! LOL Would someone make me a cuppa please? Daisy |
