Well I`m so excited now!! My site is up and running, I have just emailed all my family the site, so they better start donating! Do the donations from the site go towards the £3500?? Hopefully my mums company will sponsor me alot and I have my 21st coming up in November! Here`s a question though, do any of you get the same blank,vacant look when you tell people? I do, don`t know why as I`m quite fit but my mum burst out laughing and asked how I was going to manage without chocolate, hair dryer,straighteners etc lol. Which reminds me, if I can find a little,little fridge, I`ll take choccie LOL!! xxxx

Hi guys, You need to get cheques for as much of the money as possible, but yes your eFundraising will go towards your final figure.... we need to bank loads as the money will come from that to pay for your trek! 80% of the £3500 must be collected by January 2006. £900 is the cost of your trek and the rest goes to Cancer Research UK. Glad its not just me! I've only told my 'friends' at the moment - don't know why they have all laughed hysterically. Might have something to do with the fact the furthest i usually walk is to the car and back! Just have to park the car the other side of the sahara i suppose. Tracey -x-

There's a lot of things to consider between now and when we leave in March, that I'm trying to mentally prioritise tasks, which is why I'm not worrying particularly over issues such as what I'm going to take with me etc. There'll be time for that. Apart from my parents/brother, I've only mentioned it to a couple of people, haven't had any strange reactions - perhaps they're too polite or don't believe I'll do it!

Andy - I think you are a natural trekker (one or two k's???) Some of us of the stiletto wearing, anti-camel variety have a bit more convincing to do! love becx

Hi pink, What would be the cut off date for someone to join in with us as it depends on how my fundraising goes whether Jamie(Hubby) will join or not!! I will try my hardest to get him on board too............... susie x

Cut off date is Jan 2006 - and they will need to have 80% of the target collected by then!! :O)
