I hope the club will continue too......have not added......but enjoy reading. I have always found Mike to be an intelligent and witty man. I have been on the receiving end of his 'rants' but chose to ignore them. I find it difficult to believe that us adults cannot sort things out between ourselves. That's all, Stel.

Well I for one kept off that thread apart from the opening comment which was innocent the other comments came later. I am glad I wasnt involved in any way. I am very sorry to see Mike being suspended because he made some very good comments on threads,ok he can get a bit involved sometimes but who doesnt!Could we not try to get him re-established.? Here we go again! I'm really sorry that Mike has been suspended. All he has ever done is speak his mind. I know that he has been hounded in the past and it certainly appears as if the same people have been responsible again. I hope the people concerned can sleep tonight (probably will, they obviously have no conscience or scruples, even though they profess to!). Mandy :(

I think it is very sad that Genes suspend somebody who has been provoked. By the way, Mike can read the boards and receive and send messages. he is very upset that he has been made a scapegoat (my words not his) and he hopes the book club will continue. Ann Glos

Even though Mike voiced his opinions (stood up for himself and told the truth) a little loudly for some, I think its sad that he has been suspended, He has been wound up into arguing on the boards by people who have done this kind of thing to others. Of course GR have the right to suspend if you cross that line, but its amazing that the people who wound you up over a period of time, suddenly are the innocent ones. Do we see a pattern emerging here....I do. Elaine x

Thank you David, I was wondering if that had happened. Well, I hope those on the Pot and Kettle thread last night are mightily proud of themselves. Have seen Mike being targetted from the start by some long-standing members on here - one in particular who won't leave him alone. What a bunch of two-faced sad acts - they pretend that butter wouldn't melt in their mouths. How many more times is this going to happen? Maz. XX

ginny, a lot of people on the general board are the same people who are on tips and records. we don't just stay on one board. (well most of us don't) Ann Glos

Lots of threads get like that late at night when people get tired Roxanne but they don't all get suspended. People usually ignore it and everything is fine the next day. it is only when somebody decides to put the knife in that that happens. there are always two sides to a story and obviously one person got their side in first and Mike lost. I have read this board from arfar for 2 years now - everytime i have tried to join in have either killed a thread dead or had my threads ignored. Last night i responded to Pipsy s thread about feeling like outsiders and at the same time was reading the apparent 'offending thread'. If that is how somebody gets treated for being forthright then I am glad that my threads get ignored. May I take this opportunity of saying that I have had nothing but fantastic help and guidance on the tips and records boards. The general board just apppears to be such a 'closed shop' and as my dear old dad used to say ' familiarity breeds contempt '. PS thought that Mike was very funny

Dee, we have to make sure that we keep the book club going. So far the thread has not been removed, not sure if theyw ill take it off if Mike has been suspended. We should all make a note of the July choice so thatw e can still keep going. if necessary we can start another thread for it. Aren't people catty? i am sure that there was no need for a suspension. Hi David, I can't understand why Mike can be suspended? if its from the thread last night then that is ridiculous, he didn't do anything wrong. He was popular with some but others certainly didn't like Mike. I think this is terrible another suspension, handing them out quick and fast here. Pat x

Lynda If that comment is headed my way, I can assure you that I had no part what so ever in this suspension.. and as I have said before in a very public apology, I will not be goaded into such behaviour again! Perhaps this will make people who pass round emails and go on MSN to say nasty things, think about what they do to others, I have had enough of the nasty snidy remarks. It's happened to me on more than one occassion, the last time a nasty comment was made to me, lots of others jumped on the bandwagon, I haven't forgotton who they were, and I have told others who they were, and hope they feel VERY ashamed of themselves, but I doubt they do, they are now probably picking on some other poor soul. Find it odd the ones who do it are often the ones who feign hurt when it happens to them. Lynda
