Shall we again have the conversation/debate about gangs or Cliques that everyone denies exist? There are some people that will stick up for certain members regardless- that is the clique/gang culture. Jess |

I have never spoken to mike or contibuted to any thread that mike has (just never been in the same place at the same time), so i can't really comment. All that i can say is that, sometimes i find it diffucult to understand how a comment is to be taken, because it is only typed and has no tone. I think this is how a lot of arguments are caused and i for one will be taking a step back and taking a moment before i reply to anything c x |

This is the last post that Iwill put on this board until I receive an apology from one Garry Betts who because he did not agree with my statement re Mr Blair called me a Wimp and further intimated that I was a coward and had to do my duty because the government forced me to. People of my age allowed this moron to make the remarks that he did but as old as i am if Mr Betts rides his Harley contraption near me I will wrap it round his neck. I could have complained to GR but did not. Thank you those people who mailed me and to those who stated that I was entitled to my opinion. It should not be up to members to have to complain to GR but for GR to realise that when pathetic snide and untrue remarks are posted on what otherwise is a simple debate they take action Rupert Bear (still hurting) |

Linda, I think the reason why these people get away with it is because they are sneaky. They chip away slowly until the person they are bullying blows up, they then retreat and play innocent. We all pay our membership, which means we are all entitled to a opinion, but there are some people on here that don't like the fact that you may not agree with them. I wouldn't mind betting that everyone who has replied to this thread and Mike's thread, is now down in the bullies little black book. If that is the case and you sad plebs are reading this, then bring it on..... I will not be bullied, and I would name and shame and bring you down with me. |

Suspending Mike Chambers was not fair the poor guy was Hounded from day 1 by the little gang. Every time the Mike came on they chewed away at him and he retaliated. Could you please tell me why these people get away with this and are never dealt with. Mike was not at fault here Linda |

I am also upset at Mike's suspension and there are too many suspensions. But the difference on this occasion is that we all know who started all this, how it came about and who was responsible for 'setting it up' because thats exactly what it was. We've all seen the bullying of Mike by certain members and we all know that those same members can (and will!) do the same to any one of the rest of us should we dare to cross them! Bev |

Sam I agree with you. Marion in Merseyside comes to mind. She had the same treatment dealt to her. She stood up for herself and look where it got her. I wonder who the next target will be? Deb |

David, I have already added to another thread regarding Mike & decided to add to yours also! So to speak, I am thoroughly disgusted as to how he has been continuously singled out here on the board. Very unfair, that he has been suspended! Too bad those who are responsible for this, couldn't be dealt with in the same manner! Hopefully in time, their turn will come! Thank you, Carol. |

David I have been out this evening and am replying late but I have read through all the reply's here and it has all been said. I just wanted to add my name in Mike's defense. He answered that thread in a kindly manner, I saw no malice in his first post, it was only later that it got heated and then he was defending himself. This is totally unbelievable. Jacquie xxxx PS. Hope the book club keeps going.... |

This is not the first time that this has happened to a member. Mike was bullied, provoked and badgered at every turn and because he is a person that won't roll over and take it, he's been suspended. So, to stay a member on this site do we all have to be nodding donkeys or sheep and never have a different opinion? I hope that the people who did this to Mike are ashamed, you know who you are. |

Didn't see this thread till after i'd added to the other so have copied to here too. Dont know what happened but hope mike's back soon, as has been said already, certain people have goaded him since day one then cry when he retaliates, these people cant take the dirt they dish out being sent back to them. Mike has always had the decency to apologise whenever he has been wrong, a few people however haven't the decency to accept that apology and move on. wend xx |

David, in my own opinion re. the thread in question. There was more than one person involved in an exchange of less than friendly words. If Mike is gone as a result of his unfriendly words, then he should not have gone alone. Patty |

I saw the thread this morning and it had got overheated but no worse than other threads I've seen which often get deleted before the rest of the world wakes. I don't see that an 8 week suspension is an appropriate 'punishment'. I think an 8 week suspension is far too long for anyone, not just Mike, who I find in turn amusing, helpful, thoughtful and sometimes annoying - in other words human. We are none of us perfect. I've always 'got on' with Mike. The other forum in which I participate regularly is on ebay. Ebay have a more realistic approach to guideline breaking. People are usually suspended for a week, longer for more serious breaches and if one person continues to be a problem he/she is thrown off altogether. Could we not persuade GR to shorten the suspension period? From a warning to an 8 week suspension seems very harsh. Gwynne |

If only we could all see it that way Dave. if people don't complain nobody gets suspended. I sometimes wonder how people cope in real life. we should be able to have a good debate, even an argument, beg to differ and, as in real life, walk away from it, accept that we all have different views. Not go crying to our leader because somebody has been nasty to us. sticks and stones and all that! what happens on here is very vindictive. Ann Glos |

Ann That's exactly the way I look at it- we're all adults and should be accountable to ourselves. I don't see the need for complaining to GR every five minutes. There are people on this board who aren't to my taste so I don't post on their threads - common sense isn't it? |

Mandy, they have no conscience and are probably gloating in secret. You notice that they hav enot come forward and admitted to stirring it for him. Why can't they just settle their differences like adults instead of running to teacher. Ann Glos |
