The problem Viv is that some of the newer people on here, myself included (new to the boards only this March) don't know who these people are...if they are so devious how do you know who to talk to and who not, yes I agree some you get on with others you don't but people can SAY anything and make you believe them to be caring people. Maz is obviously a lady that speaks her mind but probably now feels she can't be as free with her speach as she would like.....It's like living in the shadow of BIG BROTHER!!!!! I think now I am pleased that not many here have actually noticed me!!!! I felt sad about that but perhaps now I am glad!!!!!! Jacquie on her own, byherself, Storm Watching....... xxxx

I think its really sad thet people are like this, I'm assuming that these people are adults not teenagers in the playground? They need to grow up and get a lifr, these boards are meant to be fun and informative not an excuse to make people feel upset, theres enough of that in the real world without having it here. Good for you Maz, you're brave and a bigger person for standing up to them...go girl! Laura xx

Having read Wendy's thread first, and replied. I am relatively new to GR(March 05). At first not using the threads, but eventually looked through them all. Generally all the people who have helped me in the past seemed to have been very willing and helpful. Have not really been chatting on the boards, but have followed a few threads, but felt that I would be intruding, so never replied. Over the last couple of months, when I see an interesting thread I have been adding a reply, but am very cautious. Having now read both Wendy's and your thread Maz, I will be even more cautious. Are these people still using the boards? Can they not be reported? Anita

What a shame....I am really ashamed of myself as I have watched this going on and did not dare say anything and these people are on the boards as if nothing has happened. And like me we will probably sit here till the next vunerable person comes on and they wear them down till they expolde and get suspended then we will all be here again saying the same thing They will never stop they keep getting away with it.And if it is the people I think it is they act as if they are so innocent and everybody treats them as if they havent done anything. Which makes me think I am as bad as them for not saying HEY STOP you dont treat folks like that .

Jacq, I've been a member here for 18 months and I still don't know who these people are but I have my suspicions. There are 5 people I trust implicitly on this site.... one is a school friend and the others are people I have met through Genes. Unfortunately you have to be wary of people these days and I tend to keep myself to myself and not get involved with the trouble that can go on. That said, I felt I had to speak my mind on this thread earlier. Viv

Linda, Don't go blaming yourself, you can't do things on your own, then it all turns around on you, although I better not see such a thing happening to you. Please Linda don't say things like being ashamed of yourself, there must have been other people around and had seen what you saw, I wish I had seen it myself. Have to say that I watch from the sidelines whenever warfare breaks out. Usually I don't know enough of the history of these arguments or whatever you want to call them to come to any firm conclusions about either party and the same goes for this latest debacle. That said, I will defend those I've come to know and meet.

Hi all I wrote on the thread in question the other night it started of very good then got very heated I wrote and asked people to read what had been siad to try and calm the situation down in the end I gave up and went to bed the next day mike is expelled well I am sorry .but I hope that doesn' t include me as one of the click or gang as i don't belong to any If I have offended anybody I am sorry Howardxx

Niether do I Becks all you need to know is there is an off button .But of course to some people these boards are a lifeline to the out side world to others its a hobby and not to be taken too seriously.The same thing can happen with neighbours if you get too close if they find out too much about you they get jelous.Iam like you Maz Ive got too close to people and theyve let me down. Howard, we know you are not one of the clique, I too was initially on the offending thread - well i think I was. But I too went to bed before it got nasty and was shocked to find Mike had been suspended in the morning. Unfortunately (due to senior moment) I can't remember who was on that thread other than one male, so I too don't know who we are talking about unfortunately. Ann glos

Ann the thread didn't get nasty, a lot of people have said that but its not true it didn't get really bad as many threads here in the past have done. I am still actually annoyed that Mike should have suffered such a harsh punishment as 8 weeks suspension, a very longtime, the crime doesn't match the punishment, it's the reverse here on Genes. Well said Maz, have put my comments on another thread so won't repeat myself but am feeling very wary about carrying on with this board (or getting involved with any others). Shame as I was really enjoying all the banter, jokes and serious stuff too.
