Due to an unprecedented public demand I'm re-posting this rather important, but fascinating, thread. Am considering applying for charity status to set up a 'Friends of Tesco'. Various groupings within the 'Friends' charity would include a Trolley Wheels Review Group, Faster Switching of Products Around the Store Group, Multi-skillers concept to be extended to Male Staff (Feasibility Study) and other pressing issues. Apply here to be a 'Friend'. Trolley Wheels Review Group membership only open to those who have pushed or pulled for one mile.

Why, Mike, I just love important and fascinating threads, so naturally I am really eager to become a Trend of Frescos, although I have to admit I have not pulled a trolley for one mile, sadly(: Perhaps I could join a sub group....like the Not Worth a Can of Beans section? Yours enthralled...BC

Not friends with Tesco at the moment, my story is too long for here. Just warn you though. Tesco in Hemel are changing their tills - repeat - changing their tills!

Mike

Mike Report 2 Oct 2005 15:22

This could be vital, what are they changing them into?

Anne, our letter stationary will be disused till slips. Founders names will need to appear one beneath the other. Dee will be on the top is that OK?

I don't have a Tesco's near me. Can I be an undercover spy in Sainsbury's please?

Sally Moonchild

Not into anything, just upgrading to new ones, meanwhile if one 'goes down' they don't take credit cards, but you're not told until you've unloaded a week's shopping onto the belt on a busy Saturday morning.

No, sorry Mike.....I think we should all have equal and democratic rights....Our names should appear side by side...to avoid any hint of favouritism. or indeed nepotism....if we write very small, we could manage it...I vote we have a committee meeting re this....BC...

ButtercupFields

ButtercupFields Report 2 Oct 2005 15:33

....admiring....cunning is not the word, Dee....Now all we have to do is wait for the rest of the alphabet!!!!! LOL BC

Mike

Mike Report 2 Oct 2005 15:40

Bonuses are obviously going to be necessary if the membership is going to be so resouceful (cunning)

Mike

Mike Report 2 Oct 2005 15:45

Sarah, we need to be careful to limit the number of our sub-committees to about 250, but you've brought up a good subject and an appropriate opening is available to you (if you wish) to research this issue on our behalf, you are allowed to second other 'Friends' if that would help. Best wishes Mike
