Jess - he seems to vanish after 1901 when he was 12. They called him Disney as one of the Wray rellies have gone to America and married a Mr Disney - (yeah the REAL Disneys - brill aint it!) And Venus Haigh was a distant relative of Kenneth Haigh the Acid Bath Murderer. She got that name (Venus) as did a lot of little girls because the planet was discovered a few years before her birth. I keep searching the local records for Disneys middle name as THAT might be the way to find out what happened to him. She

well, the agent has Phoned and i am sitting here crying my little eys out This couple want to live on the estate on which we live - they have made it quite plain right from the start, she was brought up here and want to return here. Suddenly, which was they brought her builder brother round for yesterday, they want a second bathroom.(Their house at the moment has an en-suite i guess) Apparently they cannot afford to put one in....! So the agent used the blokes words...''We wont be taking it any further'' - 8 weeks we have waited for them ----------------------- I'm Gutted.- they want the impossible! All the houses on this estate are non en-suite, all the same design. The agent is going to try and get everyone to compromise on price a bit , ie :we pay less for the one we want and so we need to ask less from then so they can afford this AND to build on.... but sorry , as far as i am concerned its over.

Really gutted for you Jess. We lost two houses when we were buying, and we were devastated, but the one we got in the end was THE one, and we were pleased we had lost the others. Fingers crossed for you. There is a reason for everything; I hope you will be able to look back on this and smile!! Suzy

So sorry to hear the news Jess. I can imagine how disappointed you must be. Why couldn't they have found that out in the first place. What a couple od time wasters. I do hope your dream house is justa round the corner, or that a 'dream' buyer will be found for you. Ann Glos

Ann, that is the very problem , the dream house IS just around the corner, literally...4 doors away. Stand in my garden and because it is round the corner , we stand in the back garen and look at the side wall.... It is just so 'there' in our face.

I am so sorry Jess, some people really do mess you around. If ours falls through again, I think I will give up, I've had enough. I hope they manage to sort something out at the estate agents. June xx

Jess, Oh my goodness, what a pain in the ... ermm ... err ... neck some people can be! The indecisiveness of it all! Honestly!! Like many other posters here, I'm a great believer in 'fate' too. In your position, I'd indulge myself this afternoon, get a good night's sleep - then hit it hard in the morning, you'll have some new ideas by then. Maybe a change of estate agent? Maybe more pressure on existing one? I'd even be tempted to up the price on your house, just to make a difference and bring it to different people's attention. Something whacky is needed ... I'll keep thinking. So sorry, it's a really stressful business - but it will come right in the end. Keep your spirits up! Jane
