I think the term child abuse is a bit extreme louise. Ear piercing is nothing like child abuse.. not in the slightest. And I suspect those who have had their babies ears done on this thread will dissagree too. Elaine x |

I think that it's a form of child abuse. I also hate seeing babies in stupid trainers or shoes. They don't need shoes when they're little, just something to keep their feet warm. Louise |

Well Im sorry Elaine, its just good job I dont have any kids cos they would have to starve, cos there would be no way I would have them eating a sausage roll in a pushchair with a mess all of them. If you clean them up fair enough, but some dont even bother to wipe their faces eeeeeee It was bad enough when my nephew was little eating a jam buttie in our house I just couldnt bear him with sticky hands and kept wiping them eeeeeeeeeee sticky little hands Yuk. Regards Yvonne |

It's wrong and it's common - it should be the child'sdecision no younger than 10 or 11- I was 14 and I think I was old enough then to look after my ears after the piercings. |

Yvonne. Sometimes when youre out for the day, little uns have to eat their food in the pushchair, a little mess diddnt hurt them, and we always cleaned up as we went along. (good old wet wipes) sometimes its not possible to get to, or be able to go and sit in a resturant every time. I remember having to feed my son, he was about 7 months old at the time, at a wedding. We were waiting to be let into the reception hall, (it was a farce) and he was hungry end of story. We had nowhere to sit, so we fed him in his pushchair. Lucky we had a few changes of clothes.. ..same type of thing at a market, nowhere to sit and we were running late, so son had snack in pushchair. Elaine x I agree with chocolate and young babies, its unnecesary. what they dont have, they dont miss. |

My ears were never ripped open by other kids when I was a kid. and I wore sleepers then not studs. While were on the bottle subject the only thing that gets my back up is, is kids eating sausage rolls etc in their pram or anything else, and the mess all over them and the pram. its disgusting. I always remember a neighbour years ago telling me once that when I was in the pram and I was dressed in white she went to give me some chocolate and my mum said dont you dare. Cos all the chocolate would have gone on my clean outfit. Yvonne |
