Elaine - we smokers will not have to hang out of the windows of the train. We have our own superior carriages already and waiting. Non-smokers can stick to their own part of the train, which is prepared for them with aerosols etc! lol Why do you assume it's going to be hot where we are going? are you assuming that we aint going upwards, but downwards to 'u-no-where'? Racists, bigots, murderers etc will be going downwards, but we are on climb girl, a climb (and when we get to where we're going, then all will be well). Trust me I have inside information! Jacqui |

There are those who believe that Jesus was black because he called everyone 'brother' and couldn't get a fair trial. Some say that he was Italian because he talked with his hands, drank alot of wine and used olive oil alot. Personally I think that he was a woman because he was expected to feed a hoard at a minute's notice with no food in stock and he spent most of his life trying to get a message across that MEN just didn't get. |

As I have said before on a similar thread David, God made us all, so I hardly think he would turn you away for being who he made you. None of us know what will happen to us when our end comes, so why can't people let us live our lives the way we wish. m. |

Morfydd, I beg to differ ! Those of us who have accepted Christ as our Saviour DO know what will happen when our earthly lives come to an end. |

David.... I'm coming with you babe cos i don't disagree with your lifestyle! Us SLOUGH people must stick together and you just know you lurve the colour PINK! :O) Jayvee.... Although you like to believe that you know what will happen, you still have to agree its a belief and not FACT! So in fact you could well be wrong! None of us can hand on heart gaurantee what happens! I would like to add that i do believe there is life after death, I do believe in a God but I am never gonna know for sure if that is the case until I leave this mortal land. |

Diana - I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God therefore I KNOW that I will inherit eternal life through the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross - as will anyone else who accepts Him as their Saviour. It's no use having a belief that's not 100% - anything less is just a hope. |

Jayvee..... you are right, it is YOUR belief and you have the right to state it as your fact but the word belief in the dictionary is described as... be·lief ( P ) Pronunciation Key (b-lf) n. The mental act, condition, or habit of placing trust or confidence in another: My belief in you is as strong as ever. Mental acceptance of and conviction in the truth, actuality, or validity of something: His explanation of what happened defies belief. Something believed or accepted as true, especially a particular tenet or a body of tenets accepted by a group of persons. Not once does it state it as FACT.... and if david believes in Jesus but doesn't change his lifestyle does that mean that his belief is untrue? God made man, God made earth.... he made straight people and gay people, so no-one has the right to state that he won't go on to eternal life! |

Roxanne, i have faith too and i am 100% commited to my beliefs, but I am unable to prove them as fact.... although that doesn't stop me believing them and I don't want anyone to think I am knocking beliefs at all, because i am not, I am just stating that they are not PROVEN FACTS. |

It was probably me you were having a dig at, Roxanne. But that's OK. It's just that I cannot see the point of believing in something unless you wholeheartedly believe it to be true ! Jesus said ' I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No-one comes to the Father but by Me'. I, for one, am not going to argue with Him !! |

Hasn't this thread strayed a little from the point? I didn't think that whether people were religious or not came into it. David sounds like a thoroughly nice man who, if there is a heaven, I'm sure would be welcomed into it with open arms. Unless perhaps he has murdered someone and I don't know (or is about to:)) Chrissie x |
