My father, Flying Officer J.W. Lynes, aged 28 killed Dec 1942, just before I was born. My third cousin, Captain Michael Trelease aged 26 died of wounds March 1945, My second cousin Rifleman Ernest Lynes aged 20,, killed 1914, my OH's grandfather Major Stuart Lyon aged 36 killed March 1918. My grandfather and great uncle fought in France 1915_18 in the Light Infantry, both survived! |
