Hi There Thanks for the words of welcome. Hope you are all behaving well. I live in the Streatham area of London, although not a Londoner, being born and dragged up (or so I tell my mum) in the good old county of Essex (No Essex Gals Jokes!!!!!). I work in security, and do a shift pattern of 3 days/3/nights/3 off. All 12 hour shifts - Great. Have not a telly to watch, but have radio and am allowed to use puter for a while. Hi Wattlers, Good news today. Research done in the USA, on women aged 50 to 70. Half on low fat diet, half not and proved it didn't make any difference to heart or cancer risk whichever diet you choose. Guess whos getting stuck into the ice cream, potato chips etc. Research was done by the same people who did the one on hormone replacement, so they are credible. When I was first diagnosed with diabetes I was put on a low GI diet. it worked very well for a while and I lots quite a lot of weight. Unfortunately I have put most of it back on since I hurt my back and have been unable to go for my normal 5kl walks. Anna, I think you may have sent me a message and I have lost it. I am having a lot of trouble with my e-mail. I don't know if it is my ISP or Internet security. I will get to the bottom of it today I hope. All my internet security settings are correct so it must be good old Telstra again. You would think with the massive wages that they get we would have a better service. I may have to get on my soap box again. It's hot and sunny again today, no rain in sight but it is forcast for rain from tomorrow for about a week. Donna, If I had your complaint I would still be smoking. I quit cold turkey 12 years ago, and Neville did the same about 9 years ago. There are still times that I fancy a smoke but I don't think I could afford to now. Like Devly, I piled on the weight, which is the down side. Hey Jude (yeah I know good song title), me thinks you have me confused with that naughty Crewella. I hear she has a thing for baileys and spotty dogs! I'm innocent, I tell you! Have managed to get home from the office in a rather round about fashion. Place is swarming with police, SES armed with chainsaws and the usual onlookers!
