I'll send the pics direct to you Tassie. .. I was under the impression Laurie had sent them to several others. Anyone else want copies, please pm me. Tassie, that Vicar was a devil in disguise!!!! .. Offering to help people with their family history my foot!!! .. Don't know how he fell in the water with Loretta, and even that convict girl managed to get wet somehow. .. She was a menace with those fireworks, every time I turned around she was lighting crackers. The Vicar was plying Loretta with drinks too. Jood

Good Morning Wattlers, Woke to lovely warm sunshine, and a list of jobs to do that can wait!!!! We had a great day yesterday, with terrific people . . . . . . Suzy & Neville arrived at the Casino first, and grabbed the best spot in the restraunt, Lew and I spoke on phones as we found each other across the busy Casino floor, and I walked down to the Jetty to welcome the Royal Barge! The Rebs was dressed to the nines, in limo shoes not designed for walking steps, and poor love she had plenty of them to climb. Anna and the great Trifley one were decked out in the feathers, and of course the Trifley one wore the tiara, most fitting. Shaz & Rob had overcome the problem of the wrong railway station and eventually found the others. When we all got together - Lew and Neveille had decided they were def related (lol), and in true Wattlers style the conversation just flowed! The venue was appreciated by all - an amazing old building -- as was the food! The gorgeous Pam arrived a little late, poor love had got caught in traffic and thought she would never get there. Wattle Bear was introduced as the newest member - and contributed to the stimulating conversation. At 2.30, the restraunt was closed . . . . we were officially evicted!!! Even great legal brains couldn't save us from that one. We went looking for somewhere else to 'Take Over' and Ray found an almost empty Lounge room, which we rather quickly made our own. Judging was completed and the trophy was officially handed to Lew, 'The Wattlers Straighjacket Award', Lew gave a gracious speach . . . and of course, she finished the speach praying for World Peace!!! At about 5ish (have no flammin idea - never looked at watch) Suzy & Neville, Shaz & Rob, and Lew & Terry called it a day - leaving the lovely Ray with the difficult task of trying to keep Rebs, Trifley, Anna, Pam and myself under control (like that was ever going to happen). We returned to the trough . . . the food was so good (and cheap) at lunch time we decided there was more we needed to try - plus you had to see the sweets spread!! At approx 8.30 The lovely Ray and I departed and left the other 4 to make there way to hotel rooms where I can only imagine the high jinx !! Now that is just a quick run through of what the day entailed, but take it from me it was such fun, everyone got on so well, there was constant chatter, a great bunch of peeps who done the Wattlers thread real proud! AND TAKE MY WORD FOR IT - THE GREAT TRIFLEY ONE KNOWS WHERE HER BOYS WERE YESTERDAY !!!! - and it wasn't on a Wattle thread !! Need a cuppa so be back later cheers luv Laurie

Good Morning Wattlers, Thanks Laurie for the pictures and the overview of the meet, sounds like a great time was had by all, wondered what was in Lew's hand. I wonder how many sore heads today???? A huge dumping of rain on the Gong overnight or early morning, enough to wake me up. It is blowing a gale this morning and looks like more rain on the way. Got 5yrs granddaughters birthday party at lunch time, they were to have a jumping castle but don't think so now with the weather, will see what is organised when we get there, the house is big enough to have it inside if need be. Well have a nice day all and will pop back later. Cheers Sandra in the wet Gong.

Morning Wattlers. Sun shining in Milburn.A few grey clouds blowing North-east but blue skies up above. Laurie. Thanks for the Pic's mate. Have to say, what a happy smiling lot we all are. Great Photo of Anna and Trifley with the Boas, and the Pic on the steps is a goody also. Good memories to have forever. For a group of people who some have never met, or have only met for the first time.......its easy to see why this thread will go on for sometime yet, and some good freindships can only come from it. Barb was just saying, how relaxed she felt at the Yarrawonga meet. Well must go and trim back the Ivy thats taking over our fence and bag it up for the street collection next week. Av a good day everyone, and for all the peeps with sore heads this morning...one word...BEROCCA...:>)))) Tony Oz...:>)) 6 sleeps.

Hi Wattlers, Well, I had a great day, and Neville , who hadn't really wanted to go, thoroughly enjoyed himself. It was better medicine for him than all the meds he takes. It was good to see him getting back to his old self. Who was it that said Rebs was a shy retiring girl? You got it all wrong, she was the life and soul of the party. Followed very closely by Crewalla, who it turns out is related to Neville, after living in the same street, all be it years apart. LOL. Wonder what a search may throw up. Maybe it would be better to leave that one alone. Anna and Trifley didn't let the side down, in all their finery. Made the rest of us girls feeling a little under dressed. Shazz, Laurie, Pam and myself of course acted in the manner of well brought up young ladies. ( of course I cannot say what happened to Laurie and Pam after Shaz and I left. I can send you all photos of Rebs , as my right hand wasn't raised when taking the oath. That being not to distribute any discriminating material. I always get my left and right hand confused. We now have an award, curtesy of Rebs, ( who else ) to be award at a yearly Brisvegas meeting. This is the Wattle Club Straightjacket Award. This year, because Rebs was not eligiable, the award was given, by the committee of Terry and Neville the two retrobates of the day , to Crewella, who accepted with grace. And as Laurie stated, finishing Peace to the World. What else. At around 5pm, Shazz, Rob, Neville and myself took our leave, and set about the complicated task of catching a Queensland train. Not to be reccommended. We arrived home at 8.15pm. The journey would have taken 1 hour by car. Lew and Terry also departed, apparenttly to their Hotel. Who knows why. I will leave it some other responsible Wattle Club member to tell you what happened after our departure, if there is one available. Photos are on there way, if you don't receive them please let me know. Luv SuzyQ

Rebs saw ya ,haha looking particuarly glam girl showing abit of cleavage their if you get an email from the vicar don't open he's not very nice peep although think he would still be trying to cope with Loretta myself she wasnt as sweet an innocent either as she professed to be me thinks Bad luck you didn't make it Donna looks as though you'd would have enjoyed yourself Trifley you know you told us that Nefer had your intials tattooed in a secret spot well I checked and we had the right ones alright so sorry I know in a public place you would not have been able to check for the tattoo hate to tell you yours were the imposters ,that is unless that cloning experiment that you were trying actually worked pmsl Rebs darlin did you let your self be corrupted by this rowdy lot Susan said you were not your normal quiet little self I don't believe it I warned you did'll I Laurie the photo with you at the front sitting down you have a bemused look on your face what was that about girl? ok outta here to do some of the dreaded H********k and talk later on when maybe some of the others will have surfaced too bye Lara

Forgot to mention. The beautiful one day and perfect the next, weather didn't let us down. Beautifull rain yesterday and perfect sunshine today. The rain played havoc with the hair. SuzyQ btw The award is a beautiful lady dressed in purple sequins and a feather boa. Lew tells us that it will match perfect with the boudoir decor. Terry asked that it be placed face to the wall on occasions LOL.

Hi all Had a wonderful day yesterday. And thanks to all who attended the meet for making me feel so welcome. Yes Lara, smack your wrist. We were all total ladies yesterday - well most of us anyway. Rebs - shy and retiring - no way. Took me ages to catch up on the thread when I got home. Must go and tidy my garden now that the rain has stopped. Enjoy your day Pam
