HI everyone :-) Well the bank holiday's over but the sun hasn't come out of hiding yet :-( Lew hope you're feeling better soon, don't overdo it and don't pass up your excuse for not doing the h*******k lol. Laurie loved the card trick and the guy playing with his balls lol will check the rest out later. It's back to college today for me but a short week this week as well as having yesterday off I'm also off Thursday because of staff training. Lara hope it went ok. Mary there were a lot of epidemics around in the 1800's is typhoid, cholera, TB to name but a few mainly due to bad diets and poor living conditions. Will check my file later to see if anything was around in those years. Better get going I'm going to be late. *waves to all* Juliexx |

I went and bought the extra ticket today too Gwenda - I got 50 lines for $27.50 cents. Will have to wait till son comes home to scan them to Tony. :) Vonny get better soon folks. ps hope it was ok to use up all the money - except $1 - cos I thought if I didn't then we would have lots of small amounts left over. |

Evening all - Miss Piggy dropping in to say you dont want me to do your sorting for you - I have piles of paper everywhere!!! The names in the family tree are easy to sort - its the social history I have gathered along the way thats made the mess . . . (I know I have a file on epedemics Mary, on a disc - will yell when I get to it) Finding all sorts of things I have collected along the way and forgotten. Trifley, not offering to help move the tub I know how heavy they are, son dropped a wrench when he was doing the washers, and chipped my old claw foot tub big time - it needs to come out and be recoated, but I think after the dramas we had putting it in I will let the professionals come and get it, recoat and reinstall for me - I have vivid memories of friend and I collecting it in a trailer the first time we had it sand blasted and coated! Everyone is getting sicky . . . come on, get stuck into the Vit C (1,000mg per day) and drink plenty of water - take the pressure off your immune system and flush out the bugs !!! Its the darn change of season - hope your all feeling better soon. Lots more chances to have a big win this week, well done Vonny - got the list of certs I want here in front of me - trying to choose which one to order for my weekly fix - it be great if next week I could just say hang it and order the lot! Everything crossed !!! Thanks for sending through the photos - they are terrific Well, night all talk tomorrow cheers luv Laurie |

Mary there were four major outbreaks of typhoid from 1830 to 1836 and an outbreak of cholera from October 1831 to mid 1832. There was also a smallpox epidemic from 1837 to 1840. |

Monring All, not a good night, I'm afraid. Had the chills then the fever about 3 times and was absolutely soaked when I woke up. Have had a hot shower, will struggle to the office to do the necessaries, then home to bed! Maybe the stress of moving, retiring, racing around like a lunatic shopping here, there and everywhere, has finally taken its toll. Happy birthday Von, hope you have a fantastic day. Seeya maybe later in the day. Lew Lew x |

Well I've just done a quick stint in the office and I'm back home again and what a lovely surprise was awaiting me. Not only was my scarf from Anne in Kent there, but also a Praline Flake from Jude2. Thanks Jude, I'll save it until I'm feeling a little brighter, although I'll have to hide it from hubby, lol. I shall bring my Anne scarf with me to the Brissie Meet! Lew Lew xxx |

Morning all Well we are still flat out chatting, thought I would come on here quickly and catch up as I havent been on since about Monday, derr should have known better. Anyway I am not going for my walk this morning as when I walked Danielle over the road to the bus stop it was cold with the wind cutting through you, so I thought thats it on the exercise bike today. It is cloudy with no rain at the moment but only about 9 degrees. Vonny happy birthday. All who are not well, hope you start feeling better soon. As I skipped through a couple of messages I am not sure what else has been happening. Good luck with our lotto this weekend. Everyone over here are waiting patiently for the news on the 2 miners still trapped, seems like it is an eternity from when they found them til now, but no doubt it will seem a lot longer for the 2 trapped and their families. At least they are in good health and that is enabling the rescue crew to work at a slower pace and making sure everything is done as safe as possible to get them out alive. Well David has updated this puta yesterday and has put in a new and bigger hard drive, ooh so now we have a big one lol , slaps hand for being naughty, pmsl, but I cant go to naughty corner as I now have to reload FTM and put all my info back on the puta from where I saved it to disc. So I figure that this would also be a good time to sort the files out and try and get them in some order. I will resurface again today sometime. Cheers Sue |

Sue - you're not the only one feeling the cold this morning. Drizzly rain and 8 degrees in Canberra - brrr. Winter defo on the way. Lew - now take it easy today - no major housework for you at all -lol Laurie - you have to make a mess before you can be organised so you sound like you're on the right track - just worry if you are still in a mess when you should be picking Ray up from the airport - pmsl Back to the chores - might help to keep me warm tho Catch up later, Gwenda |

Goood morning dear Wattlers Vonny - A hap, hap, happy birthday to you. Hope it's a good one and that you are waited on hand and foot. Are you going out for dinner? Birthday hugs from me. Lew Lew - rest up and be kind to yourself. Don't worry about work, h....k, or anything. Just relax. Have you got a good book you can lose yourself in? Devly - we're all waiting for news of the miners. They sound as if they're remarkably strong men, both physically and mentally. Sending lots of positive thoughts to them and their families and to everyone involved in the rescue operation. Poor Laurie - I've forgotten to turn off the alarm myself and it is so annoying to wake up early when you don't have to. Hope the filing is progressing well. Lara - did you put any photos of the Wonga meet on the net? I have the ones from Laurie but you did mention you were going to put piccies on also. Trifley - saw your beautiful photos of the flowers - aren't they gorgeous. You should put them on a post card or something. OH updated our Norton antivirus yesterday and forgot to block the pop ups - I nearly went mad with all the rubbish popping up on the genes site. Yes - he has now blocked the pop ups. Cold here again today. Daughter went off to school in her winter uiform for the first time this year. The girls are given 2 weeks to change from summer to winter depending on the status of the daily weather. I am so sad that dear Toby was voted out of Dancing with the Stars. He was my favourite. I suppose I am like a lot of people - liked him but didn't get off my lazy backside to vote for him. He seemed really upset for his partner as he wanted her to do well. I'm off to memoirs group this arvo so best get my self organised. Have a great day everyone! Exits singing --- 'Why was she born so beautiful....' (Ducks to miss Vonny hitting me with her handbag) :>) Anna |

Afternoon everyone. Cold and windy day in Melb. Happy birthday Vonny x......:>)) and thanks for the Pic's of the Balloons. Not much happening on the work front, so will do a bit of research this afternoon. Have been looking at the Web at a Castle in Scotland called 'Eilean Donan Castle' near the town of Dornie, and the Isle of Skye......so we have decided to go have a bo peep when we are in Scotland. The Castle was once a stronghold of the McKenzie clan, and also ancestral line of one of Barbs customers, and as we will be staying in Fort William it is only about a 1and a bit hr drive away. Has anyone on the Wattle thread, been there?.....would be interested in there view's. Not long to go now before we take off to the U.K Have received the Lotto ticket from Gwenda ( last night ) so will wait till Vonny sends me the other lot, then Email all together. Best wishes to all the sickies.........and get some Vick's or Eucalyptus oil inta ya, and nows the the time to start adding heaps of Garlic, Green or Red peppers, and Chilli to ya tucker.....:>)) Tony Oz...:>)) |

Hi Dr Tony...lol I have driven past Donan Castle and was very disappointed we were too late to get in, think it closed at around 4.30. Supposed to be worth a visit, I think they have lots of weddings there if I remember rightly. If your going down Bath way there are a couple of must dos...Laycock, where Pride and Prejudice,Emma, and one of the Harry Potter movies were filmed,200yr old town with lots of BMWs and Mercs parked out the front ...really weird to see. And Castle Coombe exactly what you expect a little old English village to be. Thanks for the pics of the weekend Laurie looks like a fun time was had be everyone, I will try for the next meet.
