Tony not only talkative but very smart - you are going to have watch this one! Smart enough to spread the cost over 3 phones - hmmm. No VB tablets while you are dressing her down, or you will end up tied in circles around her little finger. I can remember Ken threatening to cut the phone off every time he got the phone bill. Our teenage daughter had to ask to use the phone for 3 years, because we refused to take the pin no off. The moods were unbearable but was more than made up in $$$$ jude |

Well, no deranged lunatic loose in Melbourne on the 5.30 news headlines, so I'm guessing Rudes had a few VB's before the victim...erm child got home from school. lol!! The beauty of itemised phone bills. Lets you know who the culprit is and how much they charged up. Son no 1 did something similar with his mobile a few years back. Idiot of the house signed the contract for him, because the phone son wanted wasn't available on pre-paid. I found out after the deed was done, and spat the dummy, telling him not to whine when he ended up footing the bill. Two weeks later idiot son (takes after his father) waded into a lake with 'must have' phone in his pocket. Needless to say it was cactus. Then came the phone bill..........:-(( We ended up with a $400 phone bill, a two year contract we had to fulfill, and no phone..............and I've never let either of them forget it. I'd be keeping the phone bill prominently displayed on the fridge Rudes, and point to it every time the daughter asks for something in the next 6 months. Or at least until you think she's worked it off. Must be off, having lasagna for dinner and need to make the bechamel sauce. Catch you later folks, cheers, love Rebs x Oooh!! My girl has just came home with a box of hazelnut choccies for her mum....me!!!! She just got her first pay packet from the cookie store today. Bless!!! |

Oooo Rebs, hazelnut choccies, yum. Have just done a search of the cupboards in the hope that somehow I would finding an errant easter egg - no luck, bugger!! Hazelnut is such an unattractive name. I much prefer their botanical name 'Philbert'. I have a twisted one known as a 'Crazy Philbert' which is most fitting, lol. Lew x |

Evening all. You have Email....:>)) Rebs. You are so right mate. Itemised accounts of who's ringing who and what numbers are being rung. Works good on MSN also,( daughters ) to record in text what is being said to whom, so stupid ...but not always stupid fathers can check back through the Archives and see how there kids are behaving or maturing on MSN. Sounds sneaky i know.....:>))))...but i like to know what my kids are doing, and who there talking to on MSN. So set up kiddo's MSN so dad's like me can spy. I know it sounds like I'm invading her privacy, BUT....for peace of mind...i also know that no 30 year old bloke ( pervert ) is chattin up my 12 year old daughter on MSN...........if that makes sense. I'm very liberal when it comes to Teenages chatting, and the odd swear word dosen't bother me ( most of us did it...behind our parents backs ) but its different now with the whole world only a MSN away, and old pervert men chattin up young girls. Having all girls myself, i have/had try to be one step in front......except when it comes to Phone Bills...LOL Once bitten twice shy....he'y Tony Oz....:>)) |

Good evening all, Tony please don't be too cross with her just say 'well this is what is happening and that's it 'no amount of yelling and getting all stressed about it will make the bill go away now so you'll only make your self crook high blood pressure heart attack etc, I'll tell you a funny story my Dad was paranoid re our phone and one time my girlfriend ws in Sydney on holidays and so anyway I had to ring her didn't I to find out all the goss I was about 16 at the time and of course spent lot's of time on the phone, any way when the bill came in those days you could ring them if you nearly had a seizure when you saw the bill you could ask for an itemised account which Dad did and when it came there was all these calls to Sydney and I nearly died when Mum showed it to me and at the time I worked at the Gas and Fuel and I found out that the office for Telecom was in Collins st and during my lunch time I went there and said if I pay the calls to Sydney will you please take them off the itemised account for me and resend it and then you won't be responsible for me getting killed and I mean it he will kill me for sure,... well it must have been when they still had a heart because they did it and I was saved . Jude the cottage is lovely are you going to keep it when its all done or sell and start on another one ? A husband and wife are travelling by car from Auckland to Christchurch. After over sixteen hours on the road, they're too tired to continue, and they decide to stop for a rest. They stop at a nice hotel in Wellington and take a room, but they only plan to sleep for four hours and then get back on the road. When they check out four hours later to get on the Cook Strait ferry, the receptionist hands them a bill for $350. The man explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells the receptionist although it's a nice hotel; the rooms certainly aren't worth $350. When the receptionist tells him $350 is the standard rate, the man insists on speaking to the Manager. The Manager appears, listens to the man, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-size pool and a huge conference centre that were available for the husband and wife to use. ' But we didn't use them,' the man complains.'Well, they are here, and you could have,' explains the Manager. He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous.'The best entertainers from Auckland, Sydney and the U.S.A.perform here,' the Manager says. 'But we didn't go to any of those shows,' complains the man again.'Well, we have them, and you could have', the Manager replies. No matter what facility the Manager mentions, the man replies, 'But we didn't use it!' The Manager is not moved, and eventually the man gives up and agrees to pay. He writes a cheque and gives it to the Manager. The Manager is surprised when he looks at the cheque. But sir,' he says, 'This cheque is only made out for $100.' 'That's right,' says the man. 'I charged you $250 for sleeping with my wife.''But I didn't!' exclaims the Manager.'Well,' the man replies, 'She was here, and you could have.'. |

No Tony sorry don't kill her even a little bit cause they won't let you take your records etc in to the clink and the who would help us all then , by the way after that episode on the phone dad got the bright idea to put a padlock on the dial so we coudn't use it and that didn't work as mum was a softy and we could always con her to give us the key to the padlock , but then Dad woke up that she was giving us the key and so he hid it in another spot and didn't even tell mum where it was and this particular Saturday night mum made him some dimsims for supper and I came home to Chaos ambulance on the front lawn and dad being taken to Dande hosp and Mum told me Dad had a suspected heart attack and she had to run to the cnr of our street to ring up as he couldn't tell her where the key was , as it turned out it was indigestion but if he had Had a heart attack he could have died because of the lock on the phone . Joodles have a good trip and drive carefully. thanks Reb have watched a lot of rubbish except The Amazing Race its good and going to Beddie byes now ok love Lara |

OMG!!! I did it. I actually wrote a letter, by hand, manually. You remember how it's done......pen, paper, envelope, stamp etc. Actually, what started out as a short obligatory reply because I owed her at least three, turned into a small novel. Six foolscap pages, full from top to bottom. Have to be honest though, when I was reading back I looked at my handwriting and thought YUK!!! Whatever happened to my lovely, oh so neat script writing from my school days. Technology has a lot to answer for. :-(( Rudes, how did the daughter fair? Is she grounded till the end of high school? lol. *waves to Shazz* Where've you been? Few seem to be lost lately. Have a lovely weekend Jood and Laurie. Don't gossip too much......and don't eat my praline flakes!!! *hopes they taste as good as my expectations and that JulieCat person has built them up to. I have very discerning taste buds don't you know. :-ppp* 20 to 2 in the morning, time for bed. Night folk.....or morning to the early risers. love Rebs x |
