I've never seen any offensive jokes on the pub thread - because I don't read it! Nothing against it, but I don't get round to reading all the threads, especially the longer ones. I find they travel too far too fast for me, and I can't keep up with what's going on. As most posts on this thread seem to be saying that the joke wasn't offensive, obviously someone with heightened sensitivity has been reading the pub thread, which seems an odd thing for them to do. If you can't tell a risque joke in a pub, where can you tell one? Is someone, by any chance, researching the name 'Whitehouse'? CB >|<

Hi Kim XXX BC I am not a joke reader either, because half the time I don't get them, and half the time I am too all over the place to read long things...like now cos I am ironing at the same time....but i don't like it being chosen for me. But I love the pubs feeling of fun, peace, sympathy, laughs ...the people...all of those things, but when the pub goes down the pan, each thing that brings someone in, from the jokes to the free beer and friendship goes with it XXXXXX

Just checked my tree CB....not a Whitehouse in sight.......so all those Whitehouses' worry not.....cos you don't have a lemon on yours either XX

First I would just like to point out that neither Lemon or Joan are the youngest of who goes in the pub, I am. I am the baby of the family after all lol I can't believe someone has reported Arthur yet again. It's ridiculous, I love Arthur's jokes, well most of them, and if there's one I don't like then I move past it. It's a pub thread for over 18's. If you don't like the content then don't go in there. Juliexx the baby angelic one :0)

What I want to know is why it is that when there is a thread that is so offensive that loads of us complain, it takes ages for it to disappear. Then something like this can disappear out of the blue with no one any the wiser as to why. I have no idea what can have caused it (have to confess to not looking at this particular thread for a long time) but when I did look in it seemed inoffensive to me. Angela

Because I type with one finger only it takes me ages to add to a thread so I dont go on the Welcome Inn thread very often,but I like to read the jokes.So who gave someone the rights to censor what I read ? I may be old (72) but I know what I like so kindly stop trying to make me as miserable as yourself. Well Angela any time you go in the pub, if someone is about, they are always happy to sit and have a laugh or sympathise or just even have a moan over a drink with you XXX

hi Maddy.....one thing for sure ...if you and your finger manage in to the pub love.....your age isn't in numbers as some of the older regulars as you will know, are so young at heart they can give anyone a run for their money XXXXX

Of course there is always the 'sour grapes ' theory - Someone supended (or choosing not to post because of annimostity ) can still look in a wreak havock by being unkind to others in a more subtle way...can still look in, read, and message abuse and report that some one else has said so-and so- ''...and you deleted my thread for saying that'' Just a thought Jess x

hi Jess, and if that is the case, I hope anyone who does that, reads all the way through this. Because if it keeps on they may find they have no board to cause havoc on, as we all on General Topics could become more bother than we are worth to Genes......so if it is the case, and they ever succeed, I hope they sleep easy, cos if it was me...I wouldn't XXX
